This was my second time in Vegas and I was looking to stay on Fremont St. for one night since I have never been. We stayed for one night 5/10-5/11 for only $55 per night. This was a steal for a weekend night. This hotel has undergone some renovation and is under new ownership. The casino is smaller than most on the strip. It does have everything you need (slots, tables etc.) Just outside the hotel is Fremont St. You literally step out into the action. We stayed in a room on the 27th floor and we could still hear some of the music when the tv was off and we were silent. Overall, this was not a big deal and the music stopped somewhere around 1am. I did not find it to be a nuisance at the higher floor, could be worse on a lower floor. Our room had two very comfortable queen size beds with lots of pillows. The room and bathroom was clean. No mini fridge. Bathroom had clean towels. Nothing was dirty or grimy. We ended up taking a taxi down to the strip and it was about $25 to stop at the Bellagio. Expensive for a 10 minute ride at night and I wish they had a shuttle down to even the northern most point of the strip. We did have a car and the free parking was a plus and driving down to the strip took minutes. I would stay here again, if I was on a budget and didnt care to be in the strip area. « less

this was our 3rd or 4th time staying here (when it was the fitz) first time since the D. I must admit were were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were WOW and so different from the old dark green colors in there. bathrooms were the same, but added some bath and body works stuff and a picutre. we stayed on the 10th floor and were able to check in at 10:30 am with no problems. yes the elevators were slow and only 3 were working but it wasnt a big deal. the 2nd floor cafe was impressive. we couldnt believe that it was transformed in to this new hip place and all of the waitstaff were very friendly and attentiive. we had stayed 3 night prior on the strip and have to admit our all around service, cleanliness, value etc was much more here at the D. we are hoping to come down in november and bring our "strip only friends" « less

Being from Detroit I really felt at home here. Everyone whereing Detroit Tiger and Red Wings T's. They really are advertiseing here in Michigan. We stayed At The D 3 nights then moved to the Strip for 2 nights. Valet parking was fast and easy. The check in desk was nice and quick. I asked for a smokeing room and I do not smoke but my friends do. The room was clean and did not smell like smoke. We had read about the $2.50 Keurig coffee in room so we brought our own Folgers K-cups cream n sugar worked out great. The beds are comfy and just the right amount of blankets and pillows. The TV had more stations on it than any other casino hotel we have stayed at. Our room was on 22 floor with great view looking east. The towels were nice and soap shampoo etc. smell like fresh cut grass. This trip I did not find the music too loud in casino seemed ok. Love the up stairs casino and geting my hands dirty with real coins. As of all vegas casinos I found the beer to be too warm, it was colder to buy it across the street at the party store. Now my two complaints which by the way I can understand being an old building with old bones just like The Quad. The plumbing our sink would back up while we slept and each morning was filled with black pipe goop, the tub also stopped draining by day two. And the hair dryer needed replaceing for safety sake. Please see pictures of sink and tub. p.s. I was pretty lucky with the elevators they seemed always waiting for me. « less

We arrived the first weekend in May. Check-in was quick and friendly. Nice rooms and the view was great on the 34th floor. Elevators were a little slow, but not so bad to stop me from staying again. The bathroom was in need of repair, shower surround was poor and the faucet was hard to adjust temp and also hard to turn off. Casino was great! great service, far better than what we received at the Golden Nugget last year. Had a great time and will stay again. « less
