1-2 issues but overall FANTASTIC STAY!!! Check-In was quick, staff was friendly and accommodating. My group of 4 (2 teens, 1, 6 year old, and adult/myself) opted for a delux ocean front which was perfect for us. The large corner balcony had chairs which we joyed...The view was the best! UNFORTUNATELY there was a glass with old smoked cigars on our balcony which was bothersome to me (of which remained there our entire stay-yuk). The two bathrooms with four females was AWESOME however the shower in the livingroom bathroom was NOT clean at all - a lot of someone else's hair. I used a hand towl and bottle of shampoo to clean the shower myself (2nd yuk!). Our overall stay in the room was good, the cleanliness issues make me rate the room a 3 individually / housekeeping issues. We ordered room service once, food was good, delivery time was reasonable, I thought the fact that they charge an additional 20% service fee and a $3.00 delivery fee outrageous - Don't expect a grat with those fees. We did not need the hotel WI FI because we traveled with our own Hot Spot device. Good thing as there is a daily fee for that which I was able to avoid.
The breakfast was Absolutely FANTASTIC! (bacon, sausage, eggs, grits, oatmeal, self made waffle station, omelette station, fruits, breads and Danishes). We had breakfast at 8am, the place was empty, we had breakfast at 930am, the place was running over with guests. Regardless of crowd, the staff did a great job keeping food items stocked and the area /tables clean. We ate on the patio / poolside a few mornings I however found the birds to be mincing...The Managers reception (2 hours) each evening was very nice a few glasses of wine/beer before dinner was great! They also have lite snacks to munch on. The bartender was nice about serving my 6 y o Shirley Temples. Nice touch! On the 1 - 5 scale, they rate a 5 in this specific area.
The pool area was great! Water temp in pool was perfect during our stay. The beach was fun, and my girls really enjoyed the large boulder type man made rocks...had to purchase some sun screen from the gift shop - the gift shop attendant did a GREAT job suggesting the small travel size tube when she inquired how many days I needed it for...$4 verses $9 for full size.. lifeguard on duty at the beach - also quite a few surfers which was fun to watch.
We used the valet our entire stay and LOVED it!!! GREAT JOB VALET STAFF ... friendly fast staff out there! Valet $22. / day verses the Self Park option which was $18...I found the extra $4/day was worth it! Another rating of 5...
If ever in the area again I would stay at this hotel. We where in town for a FAU graduation in Boca Raton but still found this location to be good for us...Multiple family members had rooms. All of which seemed pretty content - except again with housekeeping in one of my other family members room...the area in which brings the rating down from an overall 5 to an overall 4. « less

We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach and we were so impressed with the location, property and a very, very friendly staff! Our weather could not have been more perfect for Florida with sunny skies, low humidity and warm breezes. The front desk was so accommodating and check in was swift. I opted for a high floor and ocean view and I was given a suite (#602) with two outside sit down balconies over looking the pool and Atlantic! Perfect views, on a high floor 6 out of 7 and non smoking.
The highlights included a free cocktail reception from 5:30-730, which we throughly enjoyed with a glass of wine (or 2) sitting outside watching the birds, feeling the breeze, and just relaxing! It was wonderful finish to a day of golf, beaching and pooling it. Munchies served each evening with drinks. Great touch.
The complimentary breakfast was amazing. There was an omelet station, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breads, fresh fruit, coffee, OJ, etc., filled us up ready for a relaxing day. Sit outside and avoid the crowds inside.
If you like to spent days on the beach, I recommend buying beach chairs at a local store, as the beach chairs on the beach are each $12.40 each day. We bought ours and left them there. Also the pool has a ton noodles, and boogie boards that are left behind by guests.
Parking is limited to the garage as to space on the street is limited and metered. We self serve parked with no problems on the property under the hotel at $18.00 a day, but hey, the $$ you save on free breakfast and free drinks pays for itself.
It seemed we spent more time on our balcony overlooking the ocean and pool then in the room itself! We went to The Whale Rib, TwoGeorges at the Cove (just over the bridge on the inter-coastal), Little Havana II, JBs, all priced right, a little touristy, especially JB's, but fun. The area around the pier gets busy at night so park in the public lot, $5.00 parking, to save yourself some insanity as to finding a regular parking spot.
Golfed at Pompano Beach Municipal, Pines course, for $35.00, its a Greg Norman redesign and it was great, especially for the rate. Also check out Deer Creek in Deerfield. Nice course, challenging and for $54.00, worth the price.
Our trip to Deerfield Beach was perfect. The Embassy Suites is a must do over for us! We have traveled throughout the South, Caribbean, California and New England and found this GEM to be more than we expected. Thank you STAFF for making this such a memorable vacation.

This was our second stay at the Embassy Suites Deerfield. Our room overlooked the ocean, and on our one day of sunshine the FL skies were enchanting. The resort is a stone's throw from the beach front, and whenever we could, my husband and I walked along the beach. Prior to the storm hubby got in a little body surfing. Each of the three days we were at the ES, we enjoyed the free breakfast and happy hour special that came with the suite. Gene, the omelette chef who has worked at the hotel for 24 years, issues some of the lightest, most delectable egg dishes I have ever eaten. We will return, for sure. « less
