Huge thanks to the staff at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane for providing an outstanding experience for my husband's recent special birthday. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we felt thoroughly spoilt and beautifully looked after. I had forewarned the hotel of our celebration and they provided a wonderful corner room on the eighth floor with terrific views over the London Eye, Post Office Tower and iconic sights of London. The bed was enormous and exceptionally comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. As Gold Elite members of the Marriott points scheme, we were able to enjoy the facilities of the executive lounge - so comfortable and with a great choice of food and highly drinkable wines. We particularly enjoyed the afternoon tea. The atmosphere was relaxing and congenial and the area provides the opportunity to chat with other guests if you are feeling sociable. The valet parking was very useful as it's such a busy area of London and although I did discover that it is possible to avoid congestion charges and find a cheaper garage parking option a walk away, the convenience factor won me over! The location is brilliant. We popped over to China Town, went to a West End musical and enjoyed wandering through the shops on Regent Street, Bond Street and Oxford Street. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around but quite honestly, such were the delights of the hotel with its exec lounge that we were reluctant to leave its four walls! As an older couple seeking an unforgettable and romantic experience, we could not fault our stay. We shall definitely be back. « less

We attended the tric awards on Monday and was checked in at reception with excellent check in staff speeding us through the process. We went to our room room 216 and was quite shocked how dark the room was , we then checked the view was a very large extractor ducting from the kitchen . As we were already exhausted we accepted this as it was only for one night and we needed to be ready to go to the great room. Upon entering the white marble bathroom my partner spotted the worst sight you could have looked at a towel over the bath with somebody else's black short body hair on it!!!. This prompted a upset partner to call reception. A chamber maid came very promptly and changed the towels and checked the room. The damage was already done we didn't want to use the bathroom after that and at £380 pounds a night we did expect more.Having had the experience in the room we went down to the Great room and had a good meal and fantastic service. In summary cleaning other people's hair away is a massive priority in my mind as you don't want to share other people's hair. « less

The business centre is fine, plenty of rooms. Lunch was "ok", I guess it all depends how much you spend, but sandwiches nothing special.
Next day was a ball. Champagne flowed freely. The meal was very average, but catering for 800 people can't be an easy job! « less

I met my girlfriend, Katie, in London at the beginning part of March and we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We absolutely loved it. By far, what we appreciated the most, was the wonderful, happy, and hospital staff and service at this hotel. They were superb and very professional. We enjoyed the room and the location also. The concierge lounge was fantastic too, for those Marriott Rewards members. I would absolutely stay back here again when I returned to London. Love it! « less

Lovely hotel. Brilliant service. The hotel staff greeted us every single time they saw us and a door never went unopened. Well managed and efficient. My only complaint was the water wasn't hot enough for steamy baths. The location was perfect. Mayfair is a quiet borough outside of the chaos, but in walking distance to trendy restaurants, Oxford St. and Bond St. « less
