I love the hotel,the friendliness of the staff and breakfast. This time I did not care for the breakfast that much. I know Ramada can do better because I had it better even if it has been a long time, I still remember better. « less

This hotel was recommended to me by an acquaintance who lives in Atlantic City. I asked her for a hotel that is close to the place my husband and I will be going, which happens to be in the middle of Atlantic City. I told her that I do not want a hotel without a casino, not only because we do not gamble, but also because I did not want to deal with a lot of people coming and going in the hotel. A nice, comfortable, affordable, quiet hotel room is what I was looking for. I got a mixed bag.
First the pros: Hotel location is very convinient; close to the edge of Atlantic City. Rates are affordable, actually cheap, especially compared to the hotels with casino in Atlantic City. Quick, courteous, customer service: We thought the microwave oven in our room is broken and when I called the front desk, they immediately sent someone with a replacement microwave. It turned out that the oven had to be plugged into a socket on the floor (who would have thought?). The maintenance guy was very pleasant and really helpful.
Now the Cons: On our first night, the bed sheets and pillow cases did not seem clean, especially the sheet on the bottom mattress - it look grayish. The top sheets were all wrinkled that to me, they look like they were not changed from the last occupant. I always travel with blankets and pillows, so I took those from our car and laid them on top of the sheets and used my pillows instead of the ones on the bed. I am picky that way.
On our second night, the bed sheets and pillow cases were changed. I can tell that they are very clean and smelled so good; and yes, no wrinkles. I was almost contented and ready to give this hotel a higher rating until the evening came. There was a party going on in the main building across from our room. The music was blasting and the bass kept pounding and shaking the walls of our room. I called the front desk to ask if they can turn down the music or maybe the bass, he said he'll tell them. It quieted down for a little while and then the loud music came back. My husband and I could not sleep. The music ended at around 2 am and we only had 3 hours of sleep since we needed to get ready for an early appointment that morning. It was not very pleasant.
Will I recommend it? Be forewarned about what to expect, then decide. For me, I will not return to this hotel the next time I have to go to Atlantic City. « less

After being blown away by Saturday overnite room rates at the casinos ($300. and up) I thought I would check out this Ramada..Had no clue, geographicly, where it was (no i don't have a gps). Called, and spoke w/Naomi, lovely, customer oriented ,desk clerk. Ramada is having 40% off rates till May 31st. Hurry Up!! of course, the rate worked for me. Once I got there & saw how close A.C. was, I know this will be my choice from now on. 15-20minutes to the boardwalk. And money that I saved by staying here, gave me some more spening money...Naomi was, always, pleasant, patient, and if she didn''t know the answer, she found out and got back to me. Imagine that.. a smiling, helpful desk clerk.. Kudos Naomi! I'll be back.. « less
