I had an opportunity to visit this hotel recently and as you may have heard or seen, they are currently renovating many of the rooms at the property. I was able to view one of their newly renovated rooms which offer two double beds. It was a basic room but appeared to be clean and somewhat updated and also included a microwave and refrigerator. Also, a continental breakfast is in your nightly rate which is a plus. The pool area was what I expected it to be and located poolside is a Tiki Bar. This also opens up to their indoor lounge which offers darts, a pool table and a few other games as well as multiple tables to sit and enjoy your beverages with friends. If you are looking to escape the heat and humidity outdoors, this is a nice option available onsite. They hotel is situated on International Drive with many dining options within walking distance as well as a plethora of other activities to choose from. While this is a budget hotel, I feel it is a decent choice for those who will be enjoying the majority of their time at the parks and attending to other activities. Their proximity to Wet 'n Wild, Universal & Fun Spot is also very attractive and overall I feel this is a decent choice for those who are looking to be on in the middle of the action of International Drive and seeking an affordable room rate.

The Metropolitan Express an Official Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, is located in the heart of world famous International Drive at the entrance to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure and a short drive away from Sea World and the Walt Disney World Resort. The convenient I-Ride Trolley and Lynx City Buses(nominal fee) picks up guests in front of our hotel every 15 minutes and stops at over 50 locations on International Drive and other areas including Orlando International Airport.The I-Drive Inn offers AAA 3-Diamond service and accommodations. With only 218 guestrooms, your group will receive personalized attention from our 'group friendly' staff. Each of our rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with two double beds, Microwave; fridge; hairdryer, iron and ironing board, smoke alarm, remote control color TV with free HBO, direct dial phones with free local phone calls, free safe box in rooms and individual climate control.To start your day off right, the Orlando Metropolitan Express offers a complimentary continental breakfast, featuring pastries, assorted cereals, fresh fruit and beverages.After a full day at the parks, your group can relax around our outdoor pool and childrens pool. Complimentary coffee and tea are available in our lobby 24 hours a day.
