Five houses with 80 pleasant rooms are building the Hoteldorf Grüner Baum – next to the amazing surroundings of the mountains of Gastein. As special as our guest, as special are also the different houses. The area containing the Hoteldorf is over 70 acres – in between the pure nature and car-free environment of Kötschach-Valley.

True connoisseurs have known about the Grüner Baum for almost a century. There is a long tradition of hospitality in the Kötschach Valley. Our Hoteldorf has really “grown” in the last few years and has a very special charm.
Enjoy some wonderful days in the midst of un-spoilt nature: deep green, lush meadows with grazing cows, white glaciers deep underneath blue skies, babbling brooks and gushing waterfalls… this is the summer at its best.
Here in the mountains of Gastein, you will find exactly what you have been dreaming of. Rest and relaxation, “sweet-nothing” and culinary delights, but also moving around in pure nature for together with the whole family! Hiking trails start right outside our front door and lead into the National Park Hohe Tauern, mountain bikes are available free of charge and the 18-hole golf course is only a stone's throw away.
There is no shortage in activities for both young and old.
Discovery carriage rides through the National Park Hohe Tauern, family activities with our Rangers, long walks and hikes along the many hiking trails or spectacular views of the mountains of Gastein.
And so that you won't miss out on anything – not only the Blumschein Family will pamper you, but also a whole lot of long term employees!
