The pool was green and closed. We had parties outside our room from 12 to 3 AM and called the front desk so many times. Our room smelled like smoke and there was no fridge. When asked how the night went, we replied that we had parties outside our room all night. The lady laughed and said well you know it is a weekend and that is what people do.

First, there is no way to notify the motel when you register that you will be bringing a pet except through the "Special Requests", which apparently no one reads. Second, they charge an obscene amount for your pet and then put a full page of restrictions and threats in front of you to sign, which add up to we really don't want you or your pet here, but since you are, we are going to make life as miserable as possible for both of you. On the plus side, the nice young man at the desk did manage to find a room for us when he discovered all the "pet" rooms were gone. One more negative: no continental breakfast, just an over priced motel restaurant. Luckily they are close to McDonald's. I won't be staying here again.

Property Description

The Rainier Hotel & Conference Center offers free shuttle transportation to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. We are located near Southcenter Mall and Boeing & FAA offices. Every room is equipped with a full-sized iron & ironing board, hair dryer, magnified makeup mirror and two phones with dataports. Also, each room offers pay-per-view movies, Nintendo games, and free HBO. The Yankee Grill & Roaster, our full-service restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. In-room dining is available from 6:00 AM until 11:00 PM daily (10 PM on Sunday). Our 24-hour fitness center includes a weight station, two stair climbers, two treadmills and a LifeCycle­. Our elegant, upscale lobby offers a warm, comfortable gathering area featuring a fireplace and a library for guests. Express check-in and Rapid Checkout services are available to every credit card guest. We have 3 ballrooms and 3 breakout rooms for conferences and banquets. We also frature a seasonal outdoor pool & year-round spa. Large, spacious rooms with two dataport-equipped telephones and full-size working desks. Upscale, newly renovated guest rooms feature ergonomic desk chair, over-sized easy chair and ottoman, full-sized iron & ironing board, coffe maker, hair dryer, magnifying make-up mirror. All rooms have 25 inch televisions with Nintendo, cable and pay-per-view movies. Local phone calls are only 75 cents each (additonal charges apply after 40 minutes) and access to toll-free numbers is complimentary (charges apply after 40 minutes). Room types include suites, junior suites, large executive rooms with king beds or queen-size beds. Some rooms are available with a single queen size bed and a sofa sleeper for the kids. Refrigerators and microwaves are available for an additional charge. All corridors are on the interior of the hotel and each room features a secure card-style key lock with a deadbolt. Every room is tastefully decorated in rich, Northwest colors. All rooms feature TV-based high speed internet access for a daily fee. Dial-up access available for guests who bring a computer with modem. Analog dataports are provided on all guestroom telephones. The Rainier Hotel & Conference Center features a large ballroom that converts into three separate breakout rooms. We also have an adjoining meeting room next to the ballroom and an additional two meeting rooms . We have complete audio-visual equipment and data ports in all meeting rooms. Full catering and banquet facilities with extensive menu selections. Some meeting rooms feature natural light. Recently renovated.
