A good sized facility with casino, targets truckers at a low rate. There was only one person working the front desk late afternoon and evening. I wanted an extra blanket and had to get it myself; there were only two available for the whole place! The room and bathroom were clean, however. The casino and lobby smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The staff was friendly and the restaurant had a great steak and lobster special that was tasty! « less

Stayed here a week only because the room was super cheap . Avoid this place if you have more funds to spend than me. Room sucked. Toilet kept stopping up....

Stayed here a week only because the room was super cheap . Avoid this place if you have more funds to spend than me. Room sucked. Toilet kept stopping up. Shower was less than what I expected. No WIFI. No coffee in the room. No fridge. No microwave. Restaurant was good. Food Good staff Excellent. If driving a tractor trailer they have parking. That and the rate is what drew me here. « less

Our motel room was roughly the quality of the typical Motel 6, but much more spacious, and remarkably cheap (i.e., much cheaper than Motel 6 in Las Vegas.) This smallish casino seems still to follow the strategy that many large casinos in Las Vegas abandoned decades ago in favor of giltz and glamour: discount the room and food in hopes that you will gamble. Thus your room key gets you a discount at the casino restaurant, which already has attractive prices (I recommend the breakfast skillet.) Of course you have to walk back and forth between the (depressing, to me) casino area to get from your room to the restaurant.
Within the hotel there is a public area with coin laundry machines, a bank of vending machines, and a small microwave. Our room had an ironing board, though the iron was missing. Signs indicated the hotel has special deals for commercial truckers.
The casino exterior and parking lot are well kept and seem quite secure. The neighborhood is a mixed bag. It's right next to a freeway interchange, and while there's a very normal suburban-style shopping center diagonally across the street with typical fast food (Panda Express, Subway), if you wander about a block further east you'll encounter people hanging out on the street at night, a 24 hour donut shop (quite good, actually) whose cashier sits behind bars, etc. In the opposite direction, the neighborhood is industrial. None of this struck me as dangerous, but if you expect the squeaky-clean environs of suburbia, it might make you uncomfortable. « less
