A newly constructed luxury boutique style hotel nestled in Midtown Manhattan on 37th St bet. Ave of America/6th Ave.and 5th Ave. The Strand is a contemporary bldg within walking distance to Times Square/Broadway/Theater/Fashion District/Bryant Park/Empire State Bldg/Jacob Javits/ and many Fortune 500 Companies. Guests enjoy comp. deluxe cont. bkfst, HSIA, WiFi, newspaper and fitness center. 177 well appointed rms featuring either king, 2 double beds or queen size beds, working desk, cord 2 line phones, safe, HDTV, iPod docking station w/ mp3 connect, alarm clock, mini bars, robes, slippers, turn down, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, 24 hr room svc, bilingual staff. Meeting rooms available with a total of 2,500 square feet and can accommodate up to 150 guests. Restaurants include, The Strand Rooftop Bar & Lounge features a retractable rooftop boasting stellar views of the Empire State Building and A Fish Called Avalon will include indoor garden seating, a piano bar and sidewalk café. The glamorous public space features a sleek grand lobby with limestone flooring and a captivating stone-and glass circular staircase with a two story water fall cascading down to the lower level.
