"Under Renovation"

The hotel is currenlty under extensive renovations. The front entrance and lobby are closed and they have a temporary entrance. Next to the front desk area is the temporary restaurant and lounge. The hotel rooms have not been renovated yet so they are older, but the new rooms will be very nicely appointed with a comtemporary flare and dark furnishings. The pool was clean, the exercise room seems to be a bit old and outdated. The hotel has a Priority Club area which is private for members only. They serve complimentary breakfast and afternoon appetizers with beverages. The customer service I received at the hotel was great and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The htoel is 5 minutes from Charlotte Douglas Int'l Airport and they do have a free shuttle for transport. There are not any restaurants within walking distance to the hotel so driving would be required. Overall, I think after the hotel completes their renovations in the public areas and guest rooms, the hotel will be a very nice and comfortable place to stay. In the meantime, guest rooms will undergo renovations on a floor by floor basis.

The Holiday Inn Charlotte Airport is renovating the entire property! This includes the parking lot, exterior grounds, lobby, restaurant & lounge, business center, banquet space and all guest rooms! The $6.2 million dollar renovation will be completed by the end of October 2014! We offer all the comforts of home with our 200 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites. We have all the amenities a business or leisure traveler needs including complimentary high speed internet access, seasonal outdoor pool, complimentary airport shuttle, 24 hr fitness center,& 24 hr business center. This Charlotte hotel features 4,500 sq ft of event space (perfect for meetings and receptions). Our staff can assist in making your conference, meeting or social event a success. When in the mood for relaxing, come visit Casey's Grill, offering a delectable menu of American cuisine in a sports-themed atmosphere. We are located just 1 mi from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We are centrally located to Interstates 86, 77 and 485 with a quick and easy commute to any area of Charlotte. We are conveniently located to U.S. National Whitewater Center, Bank of America Stadium, Bobcat Arena, Johnson C Smith University, Belmont Abbey College, Billy Graham Library, Concord Mills Outlet Mall, Lowe's Motor Speedway, Charlotte Convention Center and more.
