I reserved a room for 2 people but was given a room with a small double bed. The front desk person was so rude he refused to give a room with 2 beds unless I pay more, although he agreed the room is fit for only 1 person. I checked out in protestation without using anything in the motel. Next morning, I came back to make sure they did not conveniently charged me any incidentals to my credit card. I met a very nice lady at the front desk. It was like night and day. She apologized profusely and said she would have upgraded for us free but did not refund us. It would have been nice if she was on duty instead when we came because my wife was suffering from migraine that night. « less

We have stayed at this convenient, well managed Super 8 three times over the last two years. It is always clean, quiet, cheerfully run and a complete pleasure. If you know the area, you know that there are few choices around Troy and the in-town hotels in Troy are fine but tend to be a bit pricey for an overnight. The Super 8 in Latham is great for about 1/2 the price of the Troy hotels. We have also had the unhappy experience of staying at a few other bargain hotels/motels in Latham and they range from unpleasant to down-right Dickensian! The only drawback is no elevator. But with only 3 floors, it's not a huge problem for most folks. Nice complimentary buffet for breakfast as well. Highly recommended! « less

Didn't really know what to expect out of a Super 8, seems to be one of the lower motels to choose from. This place was great! Awesome price, nice staff, clean room, the walls weren't super thin like the place we stayed the night before. The only word of advise is make sure you put up the do not disturb sign, they start cleaning rooms early! « less

We requested a non-smoking room. Although their was no trace of smoke odor in the room, apparently all smokers on the smoke free second floor went into the hallway to puff as the whole corridor smelled like a dirty ashtray. The siding on the outside of the hotel is rotting and paint peeling and the check -in area is also dumpy. Upon our arrival we requested a wake up call for 6am for the next morning and never received it. The room was clean but the beds were too small and not very comfortable. I understand the Super 8 chain is "no frills" but I would expect better upkeep and service. « less

I am happy to hear that your room was clean, and there was no smoke odor in your room.
Our second floor does have smoking rooms, and unfortunately the smell does travels into the hallway when guest leave their door open or do not follow the no smoking signs . The motel is going through a renovation process, and we will be updating our the siding.
I apologize if your stay wasn't up to your standards, but I do hope you choose to stay with us in the future.
