Hotel is about 10 minutes away from the airport. Courtesy shuttle runs twice an hour. Check in was fast and courteous. Rooms are older but are well kept. Comfortable bed, flat screen TV and free wifi. Bathroom was also in good condition. There is a mini fridge, coffe maker and microwave in the room. A decent continental breakfast is also served. As for room locations, this hotel is located right next to the main rail line and Caltrain, the commuter rail stops at the station just opposite the hotel, and those that do not stop there blew their horn as they pass. So to get a quiet room, ask for one on the opposite side of the hotel, or in the courtyard area. Not much either in the way of restaurants. « less

I was here on business and needed a shuttle from the airport. The shuttle was very good and efficient, drivers were polite and knowledgable about the area. The hotel needs a little work, to make the rooms current and updated. The bed was comfortable but the couch and the bedspread just gave me the chills in that they appeared to be dirty. From the air conditioning/heater to the outside area surrounded by traffic and trains, this was a very loud place to stay. I thankfully have a bad ear so I was able to tune it out most of the time but I could still hear the noises all night that didn't go away. I felt a bit unsafe as a single woman traveler and asked for a room up front which they were able to accomodate, I was thankful for that. The breakfast was good, although i got there late and they seemed to not restock as the closing time neared. I would not stay here as a couple or family but for buisness it did me just fine. « less

My airline cancelled my flight and stranded me in San Francisco for a day, but they were kind enough to get me a hotel room at the Comfort Inn. It's a little shabby, but I hardly noticed. Breakfast was filling (I had eggs, but there were other things available, too). The best part was the proximity to a Caltrain station. Climb the hill behind the hotel, walk across the overpass, and turn right at the crosswalk/stop light. You'll see a Caltrain station at the bottom of the stairs. Note: I would not want to be in this area alone at night, but it was fine during the day. The station is in zone 1 (same as downtown), so the cost to ride Caltrain all day is just $6. It drops you off at King & 4th where you can grab a bus to Market street or a tram to the Embarcadero. The hotel has a free shuttle to the airport.
The brown coverlets on the beds were questionable, but the bathroom was surprisingly modern and very clean. I'd stay here again. « less

We chose to stay here as we often times stay at Comfort Suites. This property doesn't quite measure up to the Comfort Suites standards, but what I would like to point out is that the staff are very polite, helpful, and customer service oriented. We needed a hotel close to SFO that offered a shuttle. This place met our requirements. Because we had an early flight we had to leave before breakfast was ready. The employees offered us donuts and fresh fruit while we waited for the shuttle, even though breakfast wasn't supposed to start for another 30 minutes. Sometimes it's the little things that matter. On to the room. It was clean, the king sized bed was pretty comfy, the flat screen TV was nice, with plenty of satellite channels to choose from. The room was fully outfitted with a mini fridge, microwave, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, etc... If you forgot anything, there was a note letting you know they'd be happy to help, simply give the front desk a call. While I wouldn't rate this property as above average from a facility standpoint, I would give them five stars for customer service. If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel near SFO this is a good choice! « less

frankly, I was too tired to remember much other than the gal at the front desk was wonderful! I had driven from Florida to Cali in a Penske truck and all I wanted to was go to sleep. She was thoughtful enough to put me in a room away from the elevators. From what little I remember seeing the grounds were clean. The King was comfy and the shower was hot! I left via their free shuttle to the airport before breakfast was served but it looked like it was going to be huge. Also the pool looked very inviting. I would stay here again if I were in the area. Great price. « less
