Owners you have to spend money to make money, if you sell a product, try to make it one you are proud to sell. You have a few things that I really liked too. Your breakfast rocks great spread. Location perfect spot for travelers very easy to find. Front desk did a Awsome job they deserve a raise with all the money your saving on not improving your property. Hope my review was not to harsh, all true. « less

We stopped of one night when we just needed a bed for a few hours. The hotel is set back from the street. It's on the main street in Redding, in a good area, and there were high-end vehicles in the parking lot. The room was immaculately clean, but plain. The bed and bedding was fine.
That would be OK if the headboard wasn't broken, the dresser and nightstands didn't have noticeable scratches and chinks, and the fridge wasn't sitting on a cabinet that didn't match or coordinate with the rest of the furniture. The bathroom was also spotless, but the vanity was made of stained plywood, layers showing, no varnish or laminate, like a cabinet one might build for the garage. The exterior also showed a lot of wear and tear as well.
The front desk service was fine, and the breakfast included fresh scrambled eggs and sausage patties, which were actually tastey and not greasy, so we made breakfast muffins. They also offered the usual coffee and oj, cereal and milk, bagels and cream cheese, and plastic Danish.
I'm also not sure what I was charged for. I had originally called the LaQuinta next door. The toll-free number on the website was Hotels.com. When I said that the LaQuinta was too expensive for a stopover, the representative asked if I would like to try the Quality Inn next door. He quoted me a price, and said they accepted pets. At the hotel, I was told there was a $15 pet fee, which I wasn't told about by Hotels.com, but agreed to pay. The amount for a king bed, 2 people, pet, and tax was $68. Less than I thought it would be, which, frankly, concerns me as much as if I were overcharged.
Would I go back? Probably not. But if it was the last place in town where I could get a reservation, I would not be afraid to stay there. « less

We reserved a room - non smoking with 2 double beds. The room had such a foul odor and we were transferred to another room. Pillows are small and horrible, we asked for more pillows and extra blanket, they did not have any pillows and only 1 extra blanket. toilet was not flushing properly and when we reported that, housekeeping gave us a plunger. They did not bother to take care of it. telephone would work occassionally.
We were very disappointed. We will never stay at Quality Inn again. « less
