We stayed here for three days for the Univ of South Carolina graduation. The location is good, midway between the airport and the university. Maybe an eight minute drive to the school. The hotel was clean and the room was fine. To its credit, the hotel pool was open and heated perfectly. Breakfast was what you'd expect: not high end, but serviceable, with both hot and cold foods, three juice choices, and three coffee choices. What kept the hotel from being rated "excellent" was the wi-fi. Not good. Hard to get on it, and once on it, you could lose it at any time and have to start over. Aggravating. If you don't use or need a computer when you stay here, then I highly recommend the hotel. They're hard-working and attentive. The desk is accomodating and friendly. And it's right off Interstate I-26. « less

The hotel's location was convenient for our trip to Columbia. We checked in before the prescribed time of 3 pm, The location of room was not satisfactory. The front desk was receptive to our request for another room. Room location was not ideal, but the staff and overall conditions are above average. We would revisit this location. « less

The hotel is decent, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was pretty good then THEY STOLE OUR NOOK COLOR!!! It was left on the floor and yes we left it in the room by mistake at check out but apparently that meant it was no longer ours...? We contacted the hotel a few hours later when we realized we had left it and they said they checked and nothing. We called back after giving them time to check again and they said they would speak to the staff the next day. Then we called the next day and they said no staff found it and their staff were honest and wouldn't steal. Ha ha ha. Now three days later and the Nook has been unregistered which proves that it was stolen and they won't do ANYTHING about it. I will continue to post this story ALL OVER THE INTERNET until they decide to reimburse us for the stolen Nook color. « less

I sincerely apologize for your experience; none of the things you stated are the norm at our hotel. We have honest and valuable employees at the Country Inn & Suites Columbia Airport. Your Nook was never found neither was it stolen by our employees. We have been cooperative in your search for your nook though it was not found at our property. Management was notified that you would file a Police Report but we have yet to see one. We strive to provide the highest level of customer service to all our guest as expected at a Country Inn & Suites hotel.
