LaQuinta Inn & Suites, Winston-Salem is located just off of I-40. We are surrounded by a variety of resaurants, two of which share the same parking lot. There are numerous shops close by that include the Hanes Mall, Target and Wal-Mart. We are within 10 min. of sveral major businesses including BB&T, Krispy Kreme Headquarters,Sara Lee, US Air, and RJ Reynolds Tobacco. The schools are also easily accessible and all within 15 min. of the hotel. They include Wake Forest University, Winson-Salem State University, North Carolina School of the Arts, Salem College, and Forsyth Tech Community College.There are numerous attractions in and arund Winston-Salem such as Old Salem, the Reynolda House Museum of American Art, the Dixie Classic accommodations. All of our rooms come standard with coffee makers, hair dryers, iron and ironing boards, and 25" televisions. Some rooms and all of our suites also include microwaves and refrigerators. A deluxe continental breakfast that includes Belgian wafles, hard boiled eggs, and fresh fruit is included with your stay. Other amenities include free local calls, free high-speed internet access, and outdoor pool and spa, and a 24-hour fitness center. The hotel also offers a meeting space that accomodates up to 40 people, onsite laundry facilities, and pets are welcome.

The people in the rooms across from us decided to have a party in the hallway for a couple of hours. Very loud!! Doors slamming. Front desk clerk was very nice both at check in and out. Breakfast was ok. Area was large with plenty of tables. « less

Stayed here overnight on our way to Myrtle Beach. Location was great right off the highway. Front desk staff at check in was fantastic. Rooms were a great size. We had a room with 2 double beds and a rollaway bed. Still had loads of room. Beds were extremely comfortable. Had a great night sleep. Morning breakfast was standard but was perfect for our needs. Only complaint is the bed size. I don't know why they only offer 2 double beds. There was plenty of room for 2 queens. I think it is common among La Quinta to have 2 doubles instead of queens. Having said all that would I recommend it and stay there again, definitely! « less

The positive about the hotel is that the rates are reasonable and the bed was comfortable. However, you get what you pay for and this hotel needs some improvement. The hall carpets needed vacuuming, the hotel clerks could have been more helpful with better attitudes, the continental breakfast was a disappointment compared to other La Quinta's we have stayed in. We will probably look for another hotel next time we are in the area. « less
