As soon as we drove up I knew we had a problem. This motel is old, tacky, shabby and not kept up. I asked to see a room before we checked in and right away got a look and attitude. We decided to stay because to try to find a motel(this is not a hotel!) on the Jersey shore at the last minute would be difficult. Entry to the rooms is from a hallway and elevator that is open to anyone on the street. Absolutely no security. The hallway was filthy with food ground into the runner and spilled drinks. There was a K Y jelly box in the elevator. I guess they really couldn't wait. Then you use a covered walkway to get to your room. There was a used q tip and stained towel to walk over. The floor in our room was filthy so we wore our socks as not to walk barefoot on it. Our socks will never get clean again. If you needed to blow your nose you had to use toilet paper, these are half size sheets, because there were no tissues. If we wanted ice there was no bucket, just a small plastic bag. The next day the maid left a small packet of tissues, the kind that you put in your purse. I thought the mattress was a water bed because it bounced so much. The best part is that someone cut holes in the drapes to be able to peep IN THE ROOM and they were covered up with duct tape! Yes, we were told this by staff and saw it ourselves. We were the only people in a whole section and when I had to run down to the car in the evening it was freaking creepy to get in that elevator and go out that hallway alone. This motel is so cheap and chintzy it makes the Bates motel look appealing. The TV and WiFi were decent.

Room was clean. The only drawback was the low water pressure in the shower. Overall, very satisfied.
