I stayed here for business for several days in April. This hotel is right in the heart of downtown Vancouver and is absolutely beautiful. The location is about two blocks from the water and just about 10 minutes from the main shopping district. Would highly recommend for location and quality of the room. If you don't have breakfast included it can be a bit pricey. « less

My girlfriend and I had just finished a quick coastal cruise on Princess from Los Angeles. Disembarkation was surprisingly efficient and we were off the ship by 8:30am. We chose the Pinnacle because of it's convenient location to Canada Place Pier. It was early, beautiful and close enough to walk. With suit cases in tow we arrived at the hotel in less than 10 minutes. I knew we were early and check in was not guaranteed nor likely. I fully expected to have them store our luggage and we would head out to discover this beautiful city. Well, they checked us in, upgraded us to a Harbor View room on the 23 floor, and we were literally in our room before 9 o'clock! Needles to say the view was phenomenal with floor to ceiling windows that stretched the full length of our room. The restaurant at the hotel is under renovation and has been relocated to the 3rd floor on a temporary basis. In an effort to appease guest they are offering a discount for guest eating at the hotel and dismissing all room service charges as well as a free continental breakfast for those on the go until the remodel is completed early this summer. Really not a problem for most people. The next morning I requested late check out and again, nothing, but smiles and a "yes we can" and would be happy to accommodate attitude. The hotel property, staff, location, gym, amenities, everything was top notch. Marriott made it easy. Great Job Guys!!! « less

I highly recommend this hotel. From the moment we checked in, we felt like VIPs. The front desk team is just superb, with Brody deserving particular recognition for making us feel welcomed and giving us a 5-star experience. The hotel earned five stars because the staff went way above and beyond. The rooms are pleasant, as well. They are very well maintained. Cleaning staff does a great job. Bed was very comfortable. View of the water was amazing. Bathroom was pleasant with excellent bath products, good shower, and large vanity. The couch was sort of awkwardly placed in front of the window and some of the lighting, but that is a minor issue. Wifi in the room worked very well.
Parking is a bit overpriced, so we decided to try our luck parking in various garages in the city and on-street (free parking between 10pm and 9am). That is a gamble and a bit inconvenient, so would recommend just parking at the hotel instead.
The gym is excellent, with a variety of equipment. The brunch buffet was very good, especially the local omelette (with shrimp and asparagus). Just one suggestion: the hotel could replace the chairs with blue pads in the brunch room (although these might be temporary anyway) because they were really not comfortable. Concierge was very helpful and had a lot of good ideas on things to do.
There was construction to redevelop the lobby, but it didn't get in the way of our exceptional experience here. The hotel managed to provide all the amenities and services of a 5-star hotel despite the construction. I expect the hotel will be even more perfect once the construction is completed.
The hotel is in a fantastic neighborhood close to walking/biking along the water/sea-wall, Gastown, Yaletown, the West End, and even Davie Village. Good restaurants are everywhere in Vancouver. Cabs were plentiful around the hotel. Subway stop is close by, as well. « less

We were staying just one night between cruises, but the hotel was very nice and the staff was so very accommodating. We got off the ship at 7:30 and had requested an early check-in but we never dreamed they would be able to put us In a room that early. We were checked in and comfortably settled by 8:30 and had plenty of time to go down to the fitness room for an hour of working out before going out to explore the city. The location was perfect in its proximity to the cruise port and for access to great restaurants and the Vancouver night life. The hotel is presently under renovation so many of their usual amenities (lobby, restaurant and concierge) had to be shuffled around, but we never found it to be an inconvenience. It' should be lovely when it's finished. « less

Stayed here on business and pleasantely surprised. Great downtown location with wonderfule views of the water, seaplanes taking off and an easy walk to the water. The restaurant was being updated so had a temporary location. But the temporary location also had great views and good food. After my lunch the chef came out to ask about my meal, nice touch. The rooms were a bit nicer than the standard Marriott and had the great views. The maid would fill my ice bucket at night, again another little thing. These little things add up in my opinion, nice job. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"I can't say enough about your event planning service. You have a client for life. We will definitely use you next year for our annual 46th reunion in 2010. We don't know where the destination will be as of this writing, but we know who will be our planner! Thank you so much again for your excellent and professional service. I would be happy to fill out any type of evaluation or recommendation of your service. Just let me know." D.S. - Orlando, FL
"Everything worked out great. We are at the end of our season, but I will definitely use you in the future for my travels needs for 2007. The rates you gave were very competitive--better than ones that I get online or over the phone." V.V. - Blacksburg, VA
