I have stayed here a number of times over the last few years when I've visited my family. I have found it to be very good value for the money. It has been clean and comfortable and I have made good use of the kitchenette. It does need some updating but it is conveniently located especially being just steps from the Galloping Goose trail. The only thing that was annoying was the fridge making a loud clunk every 20 - 30 minutes. It would often wake me up at night. That's not enough to stop me from staying again though. « less

This hotel needs some updating but for the money it represents good value.
The rooms are large and the mini kitchens have everything you need. That said the bedding, furniture and fixtures had seen better days. Our fridge/ freezer for example would loudly 'clunk' every 20 mins.
The pool is large and very warm, but again dated.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant.
It's quite a walk into the harbour area (40 mins) but a short bus/ taxi ride is easy enough. « less

This property was a little run down. The duvet covers on the bed were old, one of the two beds bowed in the middle, neither bed was particularly comfortable, and the single pane windows let noise in pretty easily. Fact is, it's an older property that at some point was let to languish. It just seems a little dingy around the edges. My impression is that the current owners are putting a lot of work into the place but that the fruits of their labor aren't yet seen. The staff we encountered well all very friendly and always asked if they could do anything for us to help improve our experience. I would stay again traveling with family (this was a family trip with multiple rooms booked and etc.) but if it were just my husband and I we may look elsewhere. Indeed, nice pool area probably makes it a great choice for traveling with kids. And seriously, A+ on the service. « less
