We recently stayed for 7 nights. Check in was fast and easy and our room was ready. We have stayed at the sister hotel The Caribe so we were familiar with the room set up. We were surprised to find the drapes closed, but once we opened them we knew why. Our 6th floor room was overlooking a massive mud pit and electrical grid system. Later that evening our view got much better when we had the birds eye view of one of the parks fireworks. The next morning we went down for the free breakfast buffet which was average. The staff was both pleasant and hard working making sure tables were cleared as quickly as possible. Disney was hosting some sort of Band/Chorus competition and many of the guests were middle/high schoolers. Although they were all very well behaved, the noise level in the dining room made it impossible for us to have a conversation during breakfast. We went to the Vista Bistro for dinner one night, the food and service were excellent. The pool was clean and the pool area was kept clean. The first time I went to the pool, I followed the instructions to get off the elevator on level two and take the stair case. Quite honestly, it was a bit scary and unsafe to do alone. I refused to go that way after that. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy the pool on our last day due to the grounds keepers and their hedge clippers, lawn mowers and weed whackers were going non stop for hours. Overall, it was ok, but geared more towards groups than couples. We will go back to the Caribe on our next visit. « less
