Granted the hotel is located a not so pretty street, which is only 1 block long, but once you step through the doors, a fine hotel awaits. The room was super clean, the bed very comfortable and the staff pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but I didn't stay there for that, but it did provide plenty of calories to start the day and the coffee was really good. The location couldn't be better, IMO. I would definitely stay there again.. « less

location is central, no doubt. i have never seen so many drug addicts in one place as i did in the area immediately surrounding the hotel. reception girl was rude at check in. the hotel parking is under construction and is closed. instead of helping guests with telling em where to park, the girl just said we don't have parking! not helpful. the gym was not open either. breakfast was decent, minus the canned fruit they served. « less

The mattress was extremely comfortable and the room was well equipped with everything you would ever want.
Do not be fooled by the outside looks of the hotel because the inside is amazing. The staff was friendly and great.
Although, the sad part this hotel is that it is on a small street that does not have much going for it. I had seen a number of homeless people. But the proximity to the subway that can basically get you anywhere was lovely.
I would surely recommend this hotel to my friends and would probably go back to it myself. « less

Pretty convenient location in the downtown, close to METRO Berri/UQAM. Don't be put off by the looks of the buiding and the backstreet, the rooms are perfectly fine. I thought the bathroom was one of the best I've seen and the room itself was really large with two queen beds and a kitchenette. I would not say that the beds were super comfortable, but I managed to have a good night sleep though.
I loved the well equiped kitchenette and a small dining area, everything was spotlessly clean.
The breakfast area looked large enough, we never had to queue. They served quite normal food in comparison to others of that standard. You could get scrambled eggs, sausages, soggy potatoes and baked beans plus some continental breakfast such as toast, jam, peanut butter, crereals, canned fruits. Plus tea, coffee and juice, which makes a pretty decent selection.
The receptionists were lovely, but the breakfast staff could do with a little bit more enthusiasm :-)
The wifi worked well in the room and was free of charge. You can print out your documents in the lobby, too.
Hmm, some small complaint about the housekeeping: on Sunday we left the building at around 9AM leaving the door tag that says PLEASE HAVE OUR ROOM DONE or something like that, but when we returned at 4PM, it was not touched yet, so that left us feeling a bit disappointed, though we did not need anything in particular. They were doing a good job in general, the bedroom was totally clean when we arrived.
I'd surely recommend this hotel when in Montreal. « less
