The El Tovar Hotel, also known simply as El Tovar, is a former Harvey House situated just 20ft from the south rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. The hotel was designed by Charles Whittlesey, Chief Architect for the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway and opened in 1905 as one of a chain of hotels and restaurants owned and operated by the Fred Harvey Company in conjunction with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway (Santa Fe). It is at the northern terminus of the Grand Canyon Railway, which was formerly a branch of the Santa Fe. The hotel is one of only a handful of Harvey House facilities that are still in operation, and is an example of National Park Service Rustic architecture. A heavily modified replica, the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, is modeled from this.

Locted 1 mile outside the entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park, the South Rim of the Canyon is just a short car ride away. Our warm and spacious lobby is reminiscent of a mountain lodge with exposed timbers and stone, a large flagstone fireplace, and cozy seating areas. The lobby even has a grand piano, complimentary wireless Internet access, and a Starbucks station. Our boutique gift shop features unique gifts, specializing in Native American jewelry and art.

The Red Feather Lodge is located on Highway 64, in the small town of Tusayan. It is one mile from the south entrance of the Grand Canyon National Park.
Our hotel is a newer building, and has interior corridors with elevators to all floors. These rooms have 2 queen size beds and each has a hairdryer and coffee maker in the room.
There is coffee and tea available in our lobby at all times. All rooms have two queen beds, cable television, and pay per view movies and games. Our pool and spa are located outdoors and are open seasonally. The hotel’s amenities are available for all guests
There is a restaurant on the property, and it is a short walk to the Imax Theater and several other restaurants and shops. The Grand Canyon National Park Airport is less than a mile south of town.
