The Doubletree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort & Spa is a spacious, yet intimate hotel (127 rooms and suites) located on Miami Beach, directly on the Atlantic Ocean. We are situated 15 miles (or 25-30 minutes) from either Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Our location is only minutes from Aventura Mall, Bal Harbour Shops, Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall, and the popular and energetic South Beach-Art Deco District. We are also in close proximity to the American Airlines Arena, FIU, Sun Life Stadium Stadium, and many more attractions. Our oversize Standard Studio rooms have 2 double beds, microwave, mini frig and most have balconies. 1 and 2 bedroom suites have complete kitchen facilities and are equipped with washers and dryers. All suites have balconies.

The hotel is right on the beautiful sunny isles beach, with a pool and patio that leads straight onto the sand. The restaurant is good, the gym is modern and most of the rooms are fully equipped living spaces with kitchen, living room, dinning area et cetera. The only complaint might be that a few of the rooms - one bedroom smaller rooms - don't have a balcony. I had a great stay here, but you may need a car to really enjoy Miami. « less

Manager sent me a welcome email before my arrival and asked me if she could do anything for me. I requested a water in my room as I was arriving late in the evening. She had multiple waters, some in the frig and some sitting out for me. The front desk was extremely friendly and informative. The buffet breakfast can't be beat. Best hotel precooked eggs I've ever had. They even make you omelets to order. Unfortunately, I missed the $10 buffet Friday night all you can eat seafood dinner which I was looking forward to. But understandably, they had a wedding in the ballroom and a large rehearsal dinner in the dining room on Friday. The servers, hostesses and bartenders remember you after your first visit. I recommend eating on the outdoor patio to enjoy the ocean view. Great beach seating right off the hotel pool deck. It looked to me that every room had some sort of view of the ocean. Very convenient location for shopping at Aventura Mall and all the other shops in A1A and also Biscayne Blvd. Fabulous starbucks across the street and over a block. You can't go wrong with this hotel. « less

Loved the hotel. Pool is small but great for kids-they can walk right into the shallow end. Rooms are awesome -large kitchen, great views, nice beds. Love the neighborhood too- excellent variety of restaurants (and Publix) nearby. Very international-we were probably the only English speakers at the pool. Only a 25min drive to South Beach. We left some dvds in the room after checkout and, after a few calls, got them 3 days later by fedex, so good service on that front too. Overall a great value especially for families. « less
