Whether you're here on business or leisure, Anchorage boasts . Its brightest highlight is no doubt its nature, so hike on a glacier, fish for king salmon or shred the untamed slopes snowboarding. The animal population is in fact bigger than the human one, with 1,500 moose, dozens of nesting bald eagles, 2,400 Dall sheep and plenty of bears. Meet Alaskan natives at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, or check out local artwork at the First Friday Art Walk Galleries, which occurs on the first Friday of each month.
