The ISG is located in Heidelberg-Boxberg in the direct neighbourhood of Heidelberg city and is designed and furnished in the Bauhaus style, which was created by the archtitect Walter Gropius and other well known artist in 1919. Clear lines of art reduced to functionality and use of solid colours are characteristic of this style, which focuses on everyday items such as furniture, lamps and crockery.
