The Hotel is situated in a lovely nook in Santa Rosa, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to all the interests. The pool is magnificent, very well maintained and freshly painted deck, great lounge chairs, and you can drink your cocktails pool side ;). The rooms and walkways surround the pool and enclose it from the public, very beautifully done. The rooms are great, the beds are super comfortable and I always get a great night sleep on them, they have six pillow of various shapes, padding, etc.. to choose from on each bed, I always fine one I like. The only, I say only, critique to most of the rooms, is the bathrooms need a bit of modernizing. There are some bathrooms that have been upgraded and these rooms are just lovely.
The best part of the hotel, however, is not the beds or the pools. No, the best part is the customer service I receive when I walk through the doors. I have always been greeted with a smile and enthusiasm. I can tell they are always asking themselves, how can we go out of our way to show our guests a good time and be as accommodating as possible. To name a few, Marie, Cierra, Ashley, James, I cant remember the rest of their names, but the list goes on and on. Great job everyone! « less

Thank you so much for your kind words and we are grateful for you being here at the Flamingo Hotel. We are proud of the fact that we have poolside service that allows our guests to relax and enjoy the pool while enjoying lunch and beverages from the comfort of their lounge chairs. We are also proud of our front desk team and the fact that they make each and every guest feel welcomed with enthusiasm. Let me know when you plan to return and we would like to make special arrangments complimentary of the front desk staff to make your next stay even more memorable.

No complaints at all - quiet, spacious, tidy room. Good breakfast options in the dining room. Had to pay for wifi but it worked fine. Staff was excellent, friendly & helpful. Location very good - near the university where my business was. Not an exciting location, and the room looked out on the parking lot but it was quiet. The building itself is a bit retro, but I can certainly recommend the place and would definitely stay there again. « less

Our only negative was that this was an enroute one night stay from arcata back to San Francisco. We were lucky enough to score this room (mid week note) on priceline for $60 plus tax - what we paid for a horrible place we had stayed on the way up (see review of santa rosa travelodge!)
According to my cousin who lives in San Francisco, this was a weekend retreat with nothing around it in the 50's 60's. It still has original sign and layout but has been updated to current standards.
Cool stuff: you drive up to your room. They are laid out in sets of 4 with a "back door" to your car - ours was on the second story and we did have to schlep our suitcases up the stairs. Then you walk in to the room and also have a front door which goes to the hallway. The room was in the basics whites and wood. Very calming. The bed was amazingly comfortable especially after driving down from the Eureka area.
Did not use any services as next day we were on the way out toward the bay area. The pool area looked very nice and so did the restaurant area which they have on the patio. The hotel is laid out in a wheel style with the pool in the "hub" and the rooms on the "spokes".
I could have stayed here several days - note did NOT use the wifi so not sure if it cost and how much. « less

We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo. Room was spacious and quiet, with a good view of the lawns and pool. Front desk staff provided excellent service, and I would especially like to thank Ruth for her kind attention. Only downsides were no furniture on balcony and low quality paper products (though amenities were good). « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely use your site in the future. This was my first time setting up a conference for a government agency so I have learned a lot. By having the hotels bid for business or at least advise if they could accommodate was a HUGE time saver. I started by throwing darts at hotels in certain locations and cold calling them before I found your website! I really appreciate yours and the teams help." C.B. - Denver, CO
"Thanks to you I have several new hotel options. Usually when I get a group request I do not have the time to call around and check vacancies and rates and such. Your app has saved me so much time!" K.D. - Grand Rapids, MI
