I have stayed at this Marriott countless times over many years when I have an early morning or possible inclement weather departure from the KCI airport for either work or leisure travel. And I have never had a bad experience. It is minutes away from the airport terminals or economy partking lots. The staff is always welcoming and professional. The "T-Bone" restaurant and bar provides good service and straight forward food and drink. Over the years I have been in standard rooms, upgraded to a suite, and on the conceirge floor. It's a lovely Marriott for weary travelers. « less

My husband and I traveled stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived early and they were able to get us in a room about one before check in time. But, it was going to have to be a handicap accessible room. What's the difference, we asked. Wider bathroom and bars in the shower. Ok, fine for us if no one else needed it.
Pros - Very friendly and helpful staff!!! Lobby is very nice! Location was great, right on outside of town and easily accessible to Interstate.
Cons- Room was cramped!! Bathroom door was only 2 feet wide...kind of strange for a handicap accessible, 'wider bathroom' room. There was about 1.5 feet on the side of the bed to get in. Bathroom door did not shut fully without applying a lot of pressure. Shower was backed up and we stood in water BOTH nights (gross!). Maid service did not leave new shampoo/conditioner for our second night and when I went to the front to get some, she said she would send someone up but we waited 30 minutes before showering and we needed to get home so didn't wait to find out if they ever came. The mattress top was sliding all over in bed (p.s don't look under the mattress top!!). And to top it off, on our first night, there was a rowdy young group drinking and staying in the hotel and chose our floor to gather to be loud about 11:30 when we were laying down for bed. Another guest went in the hall and asked them to be quiet but that didn't help, then we called down to the desk and they said security was on their way up. 5 minutes later, it got very quiet again. But guess what?? 5 minutes after that, they were back! I chose to cover my head with blankets and pillow and try to drown it out.
Thank goodness we stayed here at a discount or I would really feel ripped off. Would never have paid full price for that. « less

The last time I stayed at this hotel was October, 1981. I had a choice to stay anywhere in the city. I am glad I chose to go back. A perfect view of the lake, clean room (402) ask for it you will thank me later, and genuine kindness from everyone you encounter. The shuttle driver, the housekeeper, the bartender, the waitress in the restaurant. I see where people complain about a small bathroom. Who needs more than one person in a bathroom at a time? I'm 6'4" and had enough room in the shower. Can I do jumping jacks in there? No. But getting cleaned up was not an issue. Finally if you have the pleasure to deal with Mary Nachbar at the front desk you will be blessed. She truly care about her guests and goes out of her way to make the visit the best she can. Thanks Mary, you made a rough trip seeing an ill relative a bit smoother. « less

Polite greeting at Registration, quickly setting you up with any special requests, your very clean room awaits you. The bedding is luxurious, every single staff member checks in to make sure you are satisfied.
After receiving breakfast room service last week I later received a phone call inquiring if my breakfast was satisfactory and is there anything else I might like!
Their weight room is small and the pool is receiving an update due to be ready later this Spring 2013! The Wifi was easy to obtain. Enjoyed their on site restaurant several times....I recommend the Steak Soup, Salmon Salad, and Caesar Salad.
