Built in 1892, to attract Winter visitors from the North, The Windsor was a 100 room, five- story Victorian structure complete with towers, balconies, and a three-story open atrium lobby. It occupies nearly an entire city block, and was the site of numerous balls and celebrations. The Windsor closed its doors in the early 1970's, but recently went under a $5.8 million restoration which returned the historic structure to its original grandeur. Its grand opening was attended by former President and First-Lady, Jimmy and Rosalynnn Carter as well as many other former guests who returned to the hotel to relive its old days. Visitors, now, can stay in any of 53 period style rooms with all modern amenities. No rooms in The Windsor are exactly the same, so each room has it's own warmth and style. Meetings & EventsWith over 8,000 square feet of meeting space, The Windsor Hotel is a great place for receptions, parties and celebrations for all kinds of occasions. We offer full catering services to satisfy the most discriminating hosts and guests whether you are hosting a small corporate team-building session, a memorable birthday party or a gala wedding!The Grand Dining RoomThe Grand Dining Room provides guests at The Windsor Hotel with a sophisticated yet unpretentious dining experience in traditional Southern surroundings. We offer a gourmet dinner menu Monday through Saturday evenings. Our cuisine reflects specialties from around the country, as well as favorites from our local region. In the Grand Dining Room guests will experience a fine dining ambiance with great food, wonderful wines and great times.Floyd's Pub–The convivial Floyd's Pub is a quaint neighborhood watering hole overlooking Victorian downtown Americus. Here guests can sip a favorite beverage while rocking peacefully on the famous front Veranda.
