Being from Michigan I have heard the phrase "Southern Hospitality" but never expierenced it till just recently. On business I was lucky enought to come across the Red Roof Inn in Lafayette LA. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like I was home. Amanda At the front deck was as nice as anyone I have ever met and I felt she treats others as well as she likes to be treated. Like I sad, I'm from Michigan and hundreds of miles from home and it felt like I never left. « less

We stayed at Red Roof because of their pet friendly policy, only the second time. We're in love! Especially because of the staff's above and beyond service. We were greeted by Amanda and Bree, both professionally attired and groomed to a "Tee." Amanda and Bree epitomize how to take care of people. In addition to making us feel like family from the moment we walked in, Amanda quickly gave us a new room when the first one smelled like cigarette smoke while apologizing for the problem. When I had trouble with the key card working, Bree dropped what she was doing and came to the room herself and opened the door, showing me what it took to get the card to work. When I didn't see a microwave in the lobby, Amanda and Bree said they'd give me a key to a suite that included a microwave, only a couple of doors down from our room, for our use. Sweet! And to top it all off, there was good coffee in the lobby even though it was late afternoon, unlike their competitors who stop coffee at 10:00. Kudos to Brent Spurlock, the Manager, for having such great people. The only downside was that the carpet needed shampooing. Small potatoes in my book. So STAY HERE, y'all! « less

Spent a couple of nights here as we needed a motel with truck parking. Regarding the truck parking, its not really set up for it and I would not recommend it for big rigs - very tight. Rooms are typical Red Roof Inn, clean with basic facilities. Had a Standard room the first night with no fridge etc and upgraded the second night to a superior room which was much better and I'd recommend that. Staff were very helpful and friendly - I wish all places were as good. « less
