Checked in, got to room - fridge was unplugged and smelly; computer table was broken and box spring on bed looked dirty and gross. However, asked for and got another room that was clean although the A/C unit was extremely noisy. Breakfast was pitiful - the coffee was too strong, but, worse than that, the coffee dispenser looked as if it had not be cleaned in quite some time. I noted that there were no napkins. Asked the manager for napkins. He said that there weren't any. Wouldn't stay here again if we were paid to do so! « less

Based on the past reviews, this hotel was definitely not my first choice of accommodation but by the time we decide to came to St. Louis, it was to late to get rooms at prime hotels in St. Louis but not surprisingly, this econo lodge had plenty of room open. This hotel is literally drug and prostitution infested. The staff had no control over who comes in to the hotel. They would just rent room to any one who is willing to pay money, result is guests staying here are so mean and not respectful towards women. As I was going to my car in my shorts, a couple of hispanic male passed a comment on me, could not understand what they said in Spanish but I was able to make out "mamasita". The rooms are very very very basic, and don't deserve the 50+ rent at all. I would only rate the room to be about $30 a night worth. The only reason I stayed here because there were no hotels in the area that had rooms. « less

I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times in past with my family. Jay & Mina have always been very friendly and helpful to us, that makes me wanna come here! But this time the experience was different and a horrible one. I arrived at this hotel just to find out that the management at this property has changed. I check-in, it was all good but the front desk clerk was very slow. I have never waited this long at the front desk of any hotel I have visited. Anyway, during check-in, I had asked for the non-smoking room, but the room I was put in to smelled like as if some one had stored a bunch of weed in it. The washroom was not properly cleaned either. The bath tub had stains on the side. The internet was way beyond slow. This hotel has never been this worst. I feel the hidden charm hotel has been turned in to a hideous place. « less

This is down right the worst hotel I have stayed in. The rooms are not that bad but the location equals to wide west. Guests care were broken in to twice in just five days. A few days ago, one of the guest car broken in to, and after just two days, my cars along with 4 to 5 other cars were broken in to. This is just the worst worst worst of hotel in the world. « less

We do apologize that vehicles were broken into. It would be our preferance that crime would not occur at all, but unfortunately, even in the "best" locations it does from time to time. We make every effort to prevent this, however we cannot stop all crime. We do hope that you will stay with us in the future, and again we apologize for the unfortunate happenings that took place during your stay.
