We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Lititz, PA May 10, 2013 for one night to attend a college graduation at F&M. Everything was perfect, from the super friendly and helpful front desk staff, cleanliness of room, comfort of bed, breakfast, etc. I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness in hotels! Great job, everyone works hard at pleasing customers and it shows. « less

This was my first stay at this particular Holiday Inn. Generally I travel alone for business but due to a recent layoff I had a last minute interview and chose this hotel. In addition my family wanted to accompany me since my son was off for the week. This also presented a problem due to the fact that our kennel was booked. After confirming with the hotel they accepted pets for $25 and also provided me with a number of a nearby kennel in case we needed it. Our room was ready on time and clean with a fridge and microwave. Also we were given a room near an exit and almost across from the pool which I must say was one of the cleanest and well kept ones at a hotel. Breakfast was top notch with pancakes, meats, fruits, pastries, etc. Cannot say enough about this hotel as it was within walking distance to a restaurant and pizza hut and also nearby to Downtown Lititz and Lancaster. This is our second stay here--the first several years ago. This time we stayed with another couple who were given the next door room to ours. Our room had an unpleasant smell in it. To me it smelled like very stale cigarette smoke combined with something else (paint?). We opened the window (only opens about 8 inches), went to dinner and some other places. We returned about 4 hours later and it was still unbearable. I asked for another room and although initially told the place was full, the clerk did manage to find another room. We moved our belongings and had a fine night. The breakfast was the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast but everything was prepared well and available. The entire hotel seemed to be clean and the workers were pleasant. The room our friends had smelled just fine and was next to our original room so I think this must just be an exception that our room was wrong and probably caused by selfish previous guests smoking in a nonsmoking room. Either that or we were given a smoking room after requesting nonsmoking. « less

Well it took about 20 minutes for me to find someone to check me in, even though I was at the front desk. It was six pm and I finally had enough and called from my cell phone. The lady apologized and said she was cleaning a clogged drain in a guests room. I finally get my room and the people above me were loud as hell or the hotel has no insulation. Finally around 11 I complained to the front desk and it was taken care of. 4 am and the stomping and slamming began again. You can hear everything in this hotel. I probably won't be back, far overpriced for what it has to offer. « less

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times. It's a nice, clean hotel in a quiet location. It's best to get a room on the top floor so you don't have to listen to people walking around in the room above you. Otherwise, the rooms are quiet. Staff is generally friendly & helpful and the free breakfast is usually really good. The last two times we stayed, though the beds were terrible. One was a king bed and the other time two queens. The mattresses were lumpy and sagged in the middle. I wrote to the manager about it and didn't even get the courtesy of a response, so we won't be staying here again. There are plenty of other hotels to choose from. Too bad. « less
