Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, close to all sightseeing and shopping places. Friendly staff and delightful service; the room was spacious, qite and well furnished. We had an extremely enjoyable staying. The only negative point were some impolite guests speaking loud in the corridor early in the morning; but this cannot be blamed on the hotel. « less

My last stay was in 2009. On my return I found a completely revamped lobby, as well as some other changes. What hadn't changed was the warm welcome that I expect from The Langham - even though I was arriving after midnight. Unchanged was the pampering feel; the inviting spa/pool/fitness center; the almost decadent room service. I love the little personal touches: plush robes; slippers; turn down service; and Langham's own little chocolates. In fact, if you pass on the turn down service they offer you the chocolates anyway! Some gluten-free items were added to the room service menu, and I have to say that the cornmeal crusted calamari was absolutely wonderful! Bond, the restaurant lounge serves up some fabulous drinks; and even though it was late and their kitchen was closed they made the room service menu available to us. The Langham's location is wonderful, especially if you will be spending time at Quincy Market; walking distance to the wharf too. The only thing I would like to see changed: while gluten-free items have been added to the room service menu, when you order the staff doesn't seem that familiar with which items are GF friendly - and didn't seem too able to accommodate the gluten sensitive child traveling with us. The child's request for mashed potatoes was denied. Fortunately this child would eat calamari, or a hot dog w/o bun, but I don't think too many children would be happy with that. We stayed at a discount, but this, to me, is not your average hotel. It has an opulent feel; but never stuffy or snobby. From the moment I'm greeted outside by the gentleman in the bowler hat, I feel like I am home. « less

Beautiful weekend spent in Boston for my husband's surprise 50th. First stay at the Langham and we loved the service and the Executive Suite was absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for the complimentary Happy Birthday plate with treats after we came back from dinner. I felt like I was on a cruise where each time we came back to our room it was magically cleaned up. Also, concierge Daniel was so helpful telling us about the Irish Pub down the street in walking distance. We couldn't believe it when the Prime Minister of Ireland showed up and partied with us all.
Very cool Boston experience and we can't wait for the next time! Thank you « less

Very standard experience. Was hoping to order room service and after requesting items off of the in-room dining menu, they told me that only the turkey sandwich and the caesar salad was available, despite the fact that the operator had confirmed otherwise. Very disappointing. I think you should at least list that detail online or on the in-room dining menu somewhere. « less

Stayed here for 2 nights while on a coach tour, in a twin share bedroom. The room was quite large, and extremely well appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was nice and quiet. The location is quite central, being near to all the tourist attractions. The staff went that extra bit further to make the stay comfortable; turn down service ( with chocolates!), slippers and mat laid out at the side of the bed, etc. the towels were full size, and fresh and fluffy. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, with a good range of selections. A minor complaint only is the lack of free wifi in the hotel rooms; it's only available in the lobby area. « less
