We arrived late for check in, 9pm, thursday 2 may, and they said to have a technical problem in the hotel, non specified, later told you that it was a power failure at two floors. I walked up to see whether i noticed anything wrong, but could not see that. They must have overbooked. They arranged other adequate rooms for one night in another hotel, but this other hotel wanted us to pay their bill seperately. After becoming very angry they sorted it out between themselves. Afterwards for the next couple of nights the hotel was good, staff at the desk very friendly. Only the breakfast area is too small. Omri and Claudia helped sorting it out, and we got a discount on our bill for the first night because of that. « less

We enjoyed the big rooms with the kitchenette, and it was perfect for us while traveling with a baby. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. We loved the neighborhood it was in, lots of good cafes and shops right outside. Central Barcelona and all of the many sites were quick and easy to access on the metro. The staff was friendly, however we were charged almost 10 euro for making 2 local calls for a taxi. There was nothing near the phone explaining how to use it or what charges there were for the phone-- and there was no mention of the cost when we asked reception about how to make an outgoing call. (Annoying when you don't trouble them for arranging your taxi, and then you get a huge fee attached for a service you probably should have asked them to do anyway) Not a big deal in the scheme of things, but something to be aware of. The other disappointing thing was that it was not a quiet location like many of the reviews said. Our room was on a busy corner and there was lots of traffic noise all the time and an extremely loud garbage pick up in the middle of the night. Overall it was a decent/roomy/convenient place to stay, but there are a few things that could have been improved. « less

We stayed in the hotel in April 2013 for 5 days. The hotel is very good, clean, cousy and quite. The rooms are big enough, with a small kitchen, very big bathroom and excellent service. Staff is very polite. The hotel is clean and warm. The location is good- 15 min. on food from the main metro station Diagonal and 10 min. from station Fontana. Close to the hotel there is a bus station to the center of city. There are many supermarkets near by and places to have diner or cafes. I strongly recommend the hotel. « less

Excellent room facilities and only 5 mins from nearest metro at gracia. kitchenette area was very useful for us as we had a young child and there was a supermarket and corner shop very closeby so even easier at breakfast times. Even though the hotel was in a quieter area of the city, there was still a fair amount of motorbike noise at night. Also the air conditioning was either not working or not switched on, was ok in march when we went, but in the summer months may be uncomfortable. « less
