Really convenient and practical. It does have a gym and swimming pool. The service, facilities and furniture are great. The lobby has a mini-well stocked convenience store. If you need to hang-out at the lobby (...waiting on someone that is not ready...), it is actually a good thing! they have complimentary pop-corn, coffee and fruit-infused water; also magazines and game-boards for adults or kids. We had breakfast there, and it was really good. You can choose the buffet, which has a good variety of items (and a delicious potato dish!). The cherry on top was the hotels staff; particularly the restaurant's (morning staff). If i had to say something that I did not like 100%, is the mattress...I think it was a bit tougher that what i am used to, but by no means kept me awake. : ) « less

We made arrangements to stay here at the last minute for a trip to visit our son at Cal Poly. The hotel is a refurbished and rebranded version of the Mission Inn. The rooms were very clean and quite large. Feather pillows, nice gym, convenient location just off Hwy 101 in Pismo Beach in a quiet neighborhood. At cost 2/3 of the Marriott Courtyard, it was a terrific bargain. « less

Another weekend visit to Pismo Beach and a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I cannot stay enough good things about the staff at this hotel. From check-in to checkout, everyone is friendly and helpful. Based on the number of cars in the parking lot the hotel must have been full but you would never know it because it is so quiet. No running in the halls or slamming doors to disrupt your stay. A great place. « less

During my stay, the room heater broke, the treadmill broke, the pool lock wouldn't work, and there is no maintenance person around after 5pm to fix anything, so good luck (I was offered a blanket when the heater broke instead of another room.) « less
