The Crystal Palms Beach Resort on Treasure Island is a new boutique hotel, with all the latest features and technology you would expect. Friendly and professional staff from front desk to the cleaning staff. It appears to be family-run and they take pride in keeping their guests satisfied. Family-friendly. Included an ensuite bathroom and a larger bathroom. Saw families at the pool. Renovated older hotel, modern amenities inside very spacious rooms with large full kitchen. Patio outside of living area and bedroom. Very large shower but does not have a bathtub if that is something you use. The reason it received a 3 star was the bedroom carpet was old and very worn and needed to be replaced. It may be that they are still in the midst of doing all the renovations in all the rooms as the rest of the room was newly finished. Otherwise, all the rooms, including the living room, was tiled, made it easy to see how clean it was maintained. It was across the street from the beach but it was in an older area along that coastline. Clearwater Bay was a bit more upscale and newer with more restaurants. In travelling toward Clearwater Bay from Treasure Island and in Madiera, we found a small family-owned coffee shop with the best coffee, homemade chai lattes and homemade baked goods. Very worthwhile stop in the morning! « less

We found this place by researching on TripAdvisor and were definitely not steered wrong by the great advice of others who have stayed here. We wished we had more time to spend more days here. It was roomy, clean, had a balcony, kitchen, laundry - what more could we ask for? Would highly recommend. :) « less

The rooms were immaculately clean, everything was modern and new. (The building is only about 4 years old). We were on the 6th floor and had a beautiful view of the gulf from our balcony. It is located on a busy street but the traffic noise wasn't an issue for us at all. All rooms have a balcony and a view facing the gulf (lower floors have a view of the pool and partial of the gulf)
A short walk across the street and down a path and you're right on the sand of a beautiful clean beach! Crystal Palms provides towels in the lobby for pool and beach use.

All units are equipped with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances (frig, stove, dishwasher, microwave), washer and dryer (which was convenient although I didn't plan to do laundry, I did keep up on it throughout the week because it was so convenient). You will have to buy your own detergent though. There are dishes, plates, bowls, glasses and utensils for 4...plus pots, pans, cooking utensils, toaster, can opener, etc. Publix is just a short distance down the street if you decide to cook or want food and drinks in the unit. I repeat...everything was new and immaculate! Bathrooms were clean and they provide soap and lotion and there was a hair dryer too.
There was plenty of space for us, we didn't feel like we were crammed into a hotel room. I'd much rather stay here than at a warn down, out-dated place ON the beach. The beds and pillows were super comfy!
Our room was right next to the elevator but we didn't experience any noise issues from that either.
The salt water pool was awesome too, as was the hot tub...both always kept clean. Some nights the hot tub was filled with people, other nights not so much. We were always courteous not to stay in past our 15 minute limit. There are also some floating devices for the kids at the pool as well as swim goggles. We brought our own but it was nice that they were there.
There are currently some units here that are for sale. If we were in the market, we'd DEFINITELY make a purchase here.
We felt at home and will be back to stay here again on our next vacation.
