We stayed one night, made reservations same day, early morning. I reserved with AAA, but when we got there it was another price. Talked to desk customer service and would not give us original price, had a little attitude. He gave us $4.00 off price. I don't think I will stay again. It is right next to freeway going to Reno. It is also on flight path so it is a little noisy. It's okay for a night. Housekeeping very friendly, breakfast is okay. « less

This Hampton Inn is like many across the country, but several things take them above others I have stayed in. 1) They have tried to spruce up the bedroom furniture, buying newer stuff would really take this hotel to the next level. (They are also currently renovating their lobby, May 2013).
2) What gives this place a step above other hotels was the friendliness of the staff. The young man who checked me in was top notch and very professional. I know many have cookies in the evening and they were just out as I arrived, but he offered to make more and then he put some aside for me, so to be sure I'd get one. Nice touch :)
3) A small detail that I think is so important for privacy and safety is that he never said my room # aloud as there were other people around and I am a younger person that appears to be traveling alone. It's much appreciated as you can never be too safe. In addition, the staff member who checked me out was very friendly and check out was super simple.
4) The room itself was very clean, I travel at least 2X/month and it's amazing the number of hairs you find in bathrooms (yuck!) None at this hotel, the mgmt. needs to give props to the cleaning crew!
Breakfast options were plentiful, but nothing fancy, again a very friendly and prominent staff member making sure everything was stocked.
If ever in the area again will be back to this hotel! « less

My husband and I spent a week in Carson City while visiting family. From the moment we checked in, we noticed the difference with this hotel. The staff were all so friendly and helpful that it felt like our home away from home. Hats off to Carson and the breakfast attendant who always went the second mile for us. Everyone was great. The lobby breakfast area was well organized and breakfast had many offerings. The lobby lounge area was very comfortable. The indoor pool looked great and the work out room but we did not use either. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will ALWAYS stay here when in Carson City. « less
