Hotel underwent a total renovation at the end of 2011 and provides spacious and well appointed guest rooms with numerous features & amenities. A hot breakfast and hi-speed Internet access is included in the room rate. Hotel has an exercise room and guest laundry. This hotel is Non smoking hotel. Several restaurants are an easy walk.

I cringed the first time I saw this place. Boy was I wrong. Granted, it looks like another cheapo hotel in Sunnyvale - but get into a room, and you'll change your mind in a flash. This is not at all what I picture when I hear "Best Western!"
Excellent service from front desk, housekeeping and maintenance staff. Housekeeping does a great job. So does maintenance. I've stayed here numerous times. Once my AC suddenly blew only hot air - it was replaced with a brand-new unit, literally in 15 minutes. Once a fluorescent light bulb started flickering - replaced in minutes.
The rooms are in excellent condition, not travel-worn. Plenty of light to work by, comfortable "real" adjustable desk chair. Each room has a decent-sized mini-fridge + micro.
Bed is comfortable, and has white comforter which I REALLY like...no worries about a never-washed floral bedspread here!
Plenty of room on bathroom counter for stuff. Excellent water pressure and temp at all hours.
Fitness area is about what you'd expect. All the equipment does actually work - treadmill, elliptical, two stationary bikes, plus a small universal gym setup. Feels safe to use because it's in a public area with plenty of visibility, unlike some hotel gyms.
It's always been very quiet. I think a lot of folks are out-of-town employers of local tech companies that stay here for a week or two, or longer - so it's grown-up and civilized.
Breakfast is quite good and included in the price - usually includes pastries, some kind of eggs, a breakfast meat, DIY fresh waffles, cereal, juice, etc.
Minor quibbles: Bathroom sink is at one end of room, not in separate bath enclosure. Closet is an alcove with a curtain. And for some reason the area around the front desk often has a very, very strong and unpleasant odor.
Note: if you have the room above the little breakfast area in the main building, you'll wake up to the aroma of fresh waffles every morning! « less

We stay in hotels in the Palo Alto area frequently and chose this one this time for its good access to the freeway for early morning airport connection. The room was a nice size (no view), luggage had to be carried up the stairs (no elevator) but that's okay. There were lots of pillows on the bed but they had no variety for different sleeping needs (all too thick and lumpy) so neither of us was very comfortable. I like the nice white duvet covers that all the hotels seem to be moving towards in an effort to get rid of those bacteria laden bedspreads they used to use. Imagine my shock on the 2nd morning when I was straightening the duvet and turned it over to find it had SEVERAL unlaundered body fluid stains! I was disgusted to say the least. FLIPPING it over is NOT the same as washing it. Housekeeping needs to be doing better checks! If the location works for you - check your duvet cover when you arrive & request a clean one if necessary! « less
