Hotel was in a great location in town just next to a large shopping area with lots of good restaurants. My only complaint is that the hotel wi-fi did not work consistently in my room so that I had to go to the hotel lobby to do some personal work online. « less

We were in Wilmington for the UNCW graduation and had great stay at Mayfaire Garden Inn. The front desk staff Eric, Nick and Megan where very welcoming and fantastic with local knowledge, directions to dinner and always had a smile when we stopped by the front desk. This hotel is close to everything......beach, shopping, downtown, UNCW and the airport. Definitely the place to stay when you are in Wilmington. « less

My husband, my four-year-old son, and I stayed at this hotel for four nights while visiting the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area and we loved it! The hotel is clean. The lobby is spacious and spotless. Rooms are large and kept in good condition. The front desk staff is very professional, courteous and helpful. Nick and Eric were so terrific! You can really tell that the staff of this hotel (absolutely everyone from the housekeeping staff to the kitchen staff) take customer service very seriously - a rare quality in today's business market.
I was there for work and had to use their business center. There was no difficulty downloading and printing data. When I needed to scan something to be e-mailed, Eric took care of it and sent a PDF of the document to my e-mail.
My son and husband loved the pool. There were nice lounge chairs and table areas. The pool was pretty chilly (obviously it was not being heated) but it was early in the season for the area. The hotel is situated within a quiet, mixed use business-residential area. Many upscale shops and restaurants (as well as mid-range and budget restaurants) are within less than a half-mile. It's a very short three mile drive to Wrightsville Beach.
All in all, I can't say enough about this place! Great location, great staff, great price! « less

We stayed at the HGI for a girl's weekend and had a great stay. It's a convenient location for enjoying Wilmington. It's within walking distance of Mayfaire Town Center which has great shopping and restaurants. Boca Bay is another fun restaurant right down the road and the beach isn't far at all.
I had forgotten my iPhone charger and Loren helped me out and found one I could borrow. The wonderful customer service and very pleasant staff made for a fabulous weekend. Thank you! « less

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Mayfaire Town Center. I must say that the experience was wonderful. The room was very clean and well put together. Well priced rooms. The cook-to-order breakfast was amazing.The best part was the friendly and knowledgeable service of the employees. Especially with the the front desk manager, Eric. He was very kind, friendly and helpful. I am not very familiar with the Wilmington area and Eric provided me with information and options for entertainment such as shopping, dinning, and nightlife. Sometimes it's the little things that are the best. I told Eric that I bought a bottle of wine to take up to my room but I did not have a bottle opener. I asked if I could possible borrow one. They actually have these really cool Hilton corkscrew bottel openers. I thought it was the neatest thing and asked for two so I could keep some for travel. The Mayfaire Town Center is a very nice area. Close to Wrightsville Beach and downtown Wilmington. I highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Mayfaire any time you stay in Wilmington. « less
