Nestled in the Rockies 35 minutes west of Denver, the Historic Brook Forest Inn ~ Spa is a grand historic bed-and-breakfast adventure that has been reborn. The original homestead was built by the Westerfields in 1909 and was then taken over and built up by the Welz’s in 1913 and has been completely restored to its original stately grandeur. With unsurpassed furnishings, antiques, fine art and world-class amenities, the staff at the Brook Forest Inn pays close attention to their guests, pampering them in every way.
The Historic Brook Forest Inn ~ Spa, in its early days, was known as the elite destination by many Denverites. They often traveled the thirty-five miles by horse and buggy. Some of the elite included President Harry S. Truman, Liberace, Molly Brown, the Boecher’s and many others. As a result of the many worldly stories, legend has it that there were secret meetings of Nazi gatherings, gold hidden in the walls and ghosts of a stable hand and a chamber maid. There have been many sightings of the ghosts on the third floor over the years. The current owners uncovered a hidden room during restorations and can also share their own personal ghostly experiences.
The Historic Brook Forest Inn ~ Spa is in the very heart of scenic and Historic Colorado. The trail to 14,260 feet high Mt. Evans originally started here. The Inn was also the main post office for the area effective November 10, 1921.
The full-line restaurant is open and boasts a world-class chef who prepares taste-tempting entrees to please the palate. He delights in serving his creations in a formal dining room setting with a romantic ambiance complimented by candlelight in front of a floor-to-ceiling cherry wood and marble fireplace.
Relax after dinner in the Parlor Room furnished with unique antiques or in the Piano Lounge listening to romantic tunes at the Baby Grand Piano. The lounge is also appointed with cherry wood finished chairs to complete the experience.
There are 19 luxurious guest rooms and suites at the Historic Brook Forest Inn ~ Spa, most with in-room Jacuzzi’s and terraces. Each room is uniquely decorated with a different flare expressed by furnishings and decorator touches, reminiscent of old world charm and comfort. Guests are pampered with a basket full of the little necessities required for an over-night stay and all of the rooms have private baths, TVs and hair dryers. Of course, charm and hospitality are the main part of the atmosphere at the Historic Brook Forest Inn ~ Spa.
The Pine Cone Room has an unequaled charm with high picturesque windows overlooking the forest and the enchanting Cub Creek. The floor-to-ceiling quartz fireplace presents a magnificent presence in the room. It is also a world-class meeting destination with facilities to accommodate small board meetings or retreats of up to 100 people. Corporate packages are available with room accommodations and meals.
