This stay at the Maplewood Days Inn was an absolute nightmare. While arriving there were broken windows and tore screens around the building. Filthy, filthy room! The mold smell was so bad I ended up switching rooms. Al of my clothing retained this smell. Do not stay at this hotel! I have informed the city of Maplewood, the MN Dept of Health and plan to contact a news station. I have taken several photos of this place as well. Several health hazards, broken windows and tore screens throughout outside. My 1st room (151) that I had for my 1st day 1/2 had so much mold in it that all of my clothing retained this smell. This room had burnt out light bulbs, very filthy carpet, sheets and blankets smelled of mold , broken outlet covers, filthy bathroom. etc, I ended up driving back to St Cloud to get different clothing. The cough me and my son got from this filthy room was so bad that I could barely speak while doing training with my coworkers. I had to leave my son at home because this hotel was so filthy. There was only one towel in my room, when I asked for more towels I was rudely told that they had no more. After asking to switch rooms I was able to get a different room (208), this room while trying to enter you had to slam against the door because it catches on the carpet so bad. This room was very filthy as well but at least didnt have the terrible mold smell. Just a filthy smell. This room also only had one towel with what looks like blood on it to use for the rest of the week. No coffee maker or microwave as website says and a closed down hot tub. Filthy bathroom with urine all over the toilet, and hairs all over floor. Broken switches and outlet covers. I have photos of cockroaches, the filthy ice machine with the cover removed, moldy ceiling tiles in the hallways, missing and warped ceiling tiles in the hallways, wires hanging out of the walls etc. I'm not sure how this place remains open. Several other people staying there complaining about this place that I overheard. My wife who hotel said that since I paid through priceline the hotel couldent reimburse me so I could get a different hotel to stay at or I would have left without even making it to the 1st room. « less

My company booked me here for a week long trip. We checked in and I got to my room to discover what looked like blood stains on the floor. I went to shower and there was no towels in there. I called the front desk and it took them 25 minutes to bring me one. I finally get in the shower to discover used bars of soap in there. It seemed like they didn't clean it at all. That doesn't make me too comfortable sleeping in the room. Needless to say, I checked out right away and left. « less

Trying to forget about this one. Paid way too much. Dingy and grubby room. No TV remote and TV buttons didn't work. Motel 6 would have been better or at least I wouldn't feel ripped off. Breakfast was very blah. Nite Club next door. Yelling outside in the middle of the night. Cops. Was told there was a fight the night before so they made me sign a "No noise tollerance" form. I take it people from the club get a room there so they don't have to drive. Recently I stayed at the Radisson in downtown Minneapolis for only $20 bucks more and that was phenomenal! Like I said, I wasn't expecting the Radisson but I also wasn't expecting worse than Motel 6. I would have been fine with it if I was paying Motel 6 prices. Not staying here again. « less

We usually don't complain but this Days Inn was BAD!! When we pulled into the parking lot there was trash & cigarette butts on the ground also there where broken windows, torn screens.They don't maintain the sidewalks there snow packed. Front desk staff not very friendly. I reserved my room a month before when i checked in they said I didn't have reservation it took 30 mins for him to check me as a walk-in when we got to the side door #2 to bring are stuff in the door latch is broken you don't need to use room key you can come & go as you please anytime of the day. Our room non-smoking room we had cigarette burns on the carpet & on sheets. In the bathroom looked like blood on the wall. No pictures just screws and screw holes. Here was no microwave or coffee maker like it says but we had coffee grounds to make coffee. Some weird stain on carpet. Spring poking from side of bed. loveseat was dirty & had bad springs also. We went upstair to look for ice it reeked of POT. Condoms in the vending machines next to candy. Not a family friendly place! The pool was closed for maintance.Very Disappointed we well never stay there again! « less
