We stayed at The Georgian in December 2012, 3 of us in an ocean view suite...I knew there was only 1 king Bed and 'bedding' for the 3rd person in the lounge room, I just didn't realise it was literally on a lounge. I just think for a 'suite' with an advertised capacity for 3 people, I expected more. I did have to request extra bedding, twice if I recall - but upon the 2nd request, it arried promptly. However, the room itself was really nice with plenty of space! The entire hotel was actually really nice! Our view was OK, nice view of the peer etc, just a little far away. Have no complaints about the room otherwise though, nice and quite, very private and comfy!
The staff at the front counter were literally amazing people - I just wish I could remember their names! A younger guy who went out of his way to guide us on getting to certain attractions and advice on the best company to book a shuttle with and even at about 10pm the night before we wanted to go, he organised a shuttle and tickets to disneyland for us! Then there was a young lady who answered all of our tourist questions about different things and helped us getting to/from the airport etc! Purely lovely!
I would pay for this hotel any day, it was a brilliant stay - but I'd keep it to 2 people in a suite! « less

My wife and I stayed at the Georgian for a wedding we were attending in the area, and after reading other reviews here on TripAdvisor, decided to book a room. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a 1-bedromm suite with a direct ocean view! The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast there twice and drinks and dessert one evening, out on the terrace - the service was quick. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. « less

We stayed at the Georgian on the last leg on our honeymoon in Santa Monica. From the ouside it looks really cool ane very 1920s which is when it was built. However on stepping inside, the bar/ eating area is really small so I wouldn't choose to eat there. We also had cocktails on the balcony and unfortunately because the hotel is on a main road, the noise of the traffic is quite over bearing, so if you're after a quiet drink, I wouldn't recommend the Georgian. Our room was OK although a lot smaller than I thought it would be. We stayed in a Standard Queen room. It was comfortable and clean and well insulated in terms of noise from outside and other rooms. I also liked that they turn your cover over at night, leave chocolates and also the weather forecast for the next day! The staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed to ask them about activities and sight seeing. I was slightly disappointed that we didn't get any special treatment because we were on our honeymoon (and I made a point in telling them in the run up to our stay, and when we got there). Overall, it was a comfortable stay and no major complaints however I was expecting a bit more for our money in terms of decor and that the art deco look would be quite full in our bedroom, but it wasn't and our room even felt a bit tatty. « less

Recently stayed in Santa Monica as part of round the world trip - although we didn't stay at The Georgian we walked past 3 or 4 times a day on our way to and form our hotel. IN the end we started to stop and have a drink on the terrace.
On our last day - we abandoned our own hotel and headed to the Georgian for Breakfast - and can certainly recommend the pancakes! Coffee, OJ and pancakes with a sea view to die for. Next time we visit Santa Monica - we'll definitely be staying here! « less
