We stayed for a quick weekend at Waterscapes in Fort Walton Beach. It was a last minute booking on Bookit.com, so I wasn't sure what to expect...but I was pleasantly surprised! Condo was clean, and had all of your standard furnishings. The pool are is what really sets this condo apart from others in my opinion. The upper pool deck has an amazing splash area for 1-4 year olds, and a circular heated pool for adults. The lower pool deck has a pool geared for older children. Zero entry, with lots of fun fountains, a lily pad bridge, and a rock waterfall. There is also a nice lazy river with a waterfall, and other splash features, and a poolside tiki hut that serves Fudpucker's food and drinks. There are several nice gas grills around the pool deck that are available for use to grill out lunch or dinner. We didn't utilize it, but there is a video rental service with new releases that is free on site. The beach was clean, and chair service was included in the rental fee. My only wish is that the cleaning fee had been included...I didn't expect to pay an additional $160 upon check in. I'm sure it was written somewhere...I just failed to read it before arrival. Overall, I was very pleased with this resort, felt it was very clean, had a great entertainment area for adults and children, and we would definitely recommend this resort to families! « less

Really loved Waterscape! This was our first beach vacation with young kids (3.5 & 19 months). We couldn't have found a better place to keep them busy! We stayed in unit 222B which is a ground unit near the heated pool and kid's splash pad. Every pool is gated so we never worried that they would run off and get into the pool from our backyard patio/grassed area. Being that the kids are so young we have a lot of items to haul to the beach. The way Waterscape is designed right on the beach each unit is just steps away from the gulf! We went through VCBO so we never had to check-in at the lobby. The parking garage was nice and they had dozens of carts there to help load your items to your unit. We went the last week in April and the place was mostly empty with a few other young families. We used one of the many grills available by the kid's splash pad to grill burgers one night! It was so nice to let the kids safely play while grilling! The security there was nice and very present. I usually saw someone working every time we swam. We were never bothered over our arm bands, never asked but we wore them every time as the rules are posted on every pool gate. The beach attendant was nice and helpful. We brought our own beach chairs and umbrella. There was plenty of space on the beach for everyone. The weather was cloudy but nice. The water on Okaloosa Island is warm but not the beautiful Emerald color you see down further in Destin. Still beautiful nonetheless. I have nothing bad to say! We had a great time and I felt my kids were safe which was my biggest worry with them being toddlers around water! Will return ...hopefully in the Fall! « less

We stayed at Waterscape unit 312A, using Southern Rentals. It was a wonderful experience. The unit was a 2 BR (plus a "cubbyhole" area with bunk beds) and 2 1/2 BAs. Our unit was very nicely decorated and very clean. The bathrooms are huge! Our unit had an "inside" view of the pools and beach. The buildings were very well-maintained. Southern was great to work with and it was easy check in and check out. We couldn't get one of the balcony doors to lock and Southern sent maintenance very quickly. We loved the pools and the beautiful white sand beach. We had two teenage boys with us and they loved it, too. We would definitely go back. « less
