The staff was very understanding when we need to cut our stay short due to a family matter which was the reason we were in the area. « less

The comforter on the bed was badly stained and should have been replaced 10-years ago, and the carpet and draperies stunk like smoke. The carpet had not been vacuumed and had strange, foreign objects on it. (Yes, I took photos!) Again, YUCK!
I will say, the service was fine and the room was quiet. We also noticed that several new amenities had been updated in the room. It's unfortunate such attention hadn't been paid to the basics like the old 1970's stained, torn carpet, draperies and linens. Or the lack of simple, compliance with sanitary practices by the housekeeping staff, as per California Health And Safety codes…
Sadly, given the disgusting, unclean rooms, we would not stay here again, even though we visit the area regularly.
NOTE TO MANAGING FAMILY: 1. Get rid of all the old carpet, linens and draperies IMMEDIATELY! It's gross and unsanitary. For you to expect people to pay for unclean rooms that are in such desperate need of a good scrubbing, is unfathomable.
2. Make all your rooms NON-SMOKING, as is the law in California.
If you cannot make this happen, then stop running this hotel. We would gladly stay here again if all these simple and basic sanitary issues were addressed.

The decor was horrible, nothing matched and the dresser and chest of drawers were all scratched up, to the point I thought it was some kind of antique style. The worst part is this is the room they gave me after I paid extra for an upgrade. « less
