This is our second time to stay at the Fairmont in Dallas since Christmas. We will try and stay here every time we come back to the Big "D". This trip was for my daughter's 10th Birthday visit to the American Girl Store. We let the staff know in advance that Julia would be celebrating her Birthday. The moment we arrived they made her feel really special. A wagon with baloons and gifts was pulled out into the lobby and Julia was allowed to pick something from the wagon. When we arrived in our room there was a desert cart with two pieces of chocolate cake with personalized wishes to Julia. She is grinning ear to ear. We chose a King Suite for this trip and the room is perfect and bed is very comfortable, Everything was in place and very clean. Fairmont ha a very high standard and everywhere we stay they live up to it. We ordered room service and I had a BLT sandwhich with a fried egg on it. It was an eggcellent sandwhich. I will note that I am a member of Fairmont's President Circle because I own a membership in their Franz Klammer Lodge in Telluride Colorado. I am not sure if they will wheel out the wagon for everyone but membership must have it privledges and I encourage you to participate.
When we showed up they asked where my son Kevin was. He happend to be at home with some friends.
Well, I am off to the pool so the little girls can swim. This place and their staff are amazing. « less

I'd booked a weekend package trip via Hotwire and the price was so great, so I have to say, I was expecting less than perfection from the Fairmont. I'm happy to report my expectation was not met. The room was large, clean and comfortable, every member of the staff was friendly, helpful and considerate. The weather was great so i spent a lot of time at their awesome pool area where again, the wait staff were very thoughtful and friendly. The hotel's central downtown location is great and convenient to everything. I would definitley return to the Fairmont. « less
