This Hilton Garden Inn is the only one in the lowcountry at this time, and we opened 6 years ago, with a renovation that was completed April 2008. The renovation included: new carpet in hallways and lobby, new windown treatment in lobby and prefunction, new desk chairs in every room, new Garden Sleep System Beds in certain rooms, new desk, lounge chairs, and ottomans in certain rooms, new decor in lobby, and new fitness center. Also, we have the addition of 40 brand new rooms, and the addition of a 2,000 sq. ft. ballroom and 1,000 sg. ft of prefunction. Our meeting facilities range from 400 to 2,00 sg. ft, and can accomodate between 1 to 250 people in one given meeting room, in which we have 7 meeting rooms. Our hotel is the closest to the Charleston International Airport, we are walking distance to Tanger Outlets, North Charleston Convention Center, North Charleston Performing Art, and North Charleston Coliseum. We are also a short drive to historic Charleston, and multiple beaches. We have many of restaurants in the area, which are also walking distance, so we can accomodated all your needs here at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Just what I expect staying at a Hilton. Very friendly and helpful staff. A fine example was when we were eating dinner and the room was too cold - it didn't take more than 5 minutes for the endineering staff to respond and change the thermostat temperature. Definitely stay there again. Good value for the money - no surprises. « less

The downside is on every visit they have been short staffed in the restaurant, so expect slow service as a result. They have done a little remodel. Elevators are extremely slow. The business center offers several computers to check-in for flights. Price for stay is competitive with neighboring hotels. « less

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton Garden Inn for 2 weeks whilst on a business trip, with 3 colleagues.
The rooms are nice and neat, and clean! The hotel reception is a nice place to be with complimentary coffee and flavoured water, with a nice log burning fireplace.
The pool and gym are relatively small, but they are ample and modern enough for a workout, and again clean.
We ate breakfast which was good, and the made to order omelettes were excellent. The evening meals were excellent! We ate there 3 times and every meal was good.
Finally, the reception staff were excellent, helpful, friendly and understanding - my credit card was locked for a few days so payment couldn't be taken. The bar staff were excellent, and struck up a good rapport with us from the word go (though we did drink them out of Corona lol) and their service was impeccable.
All in all, we had an excellent stay and would have no hesitation staying there again. « less
