Hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The hotel and rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel is older, but updated recently. Don't forget to get an apple in the lobby. This is easily the best choice. NLI and the sister hotel the Penn Stater are by far the best overall hotels in the area. NLI - stayed here for Graduation weekend. Great location right on campus, near the lion shrine. Easy walk to downtown. Serivce is fantastic and a great brunch on sunday. The bar - Whiskers, is a good place for a burger or a drink. We had a deluxe king which is a junior suite. very comfortable with extra seating « less

A lovely upscale inn owned and operated by PSU on the edge of campus. We have been coming here once or twice a year for over 20 years and love this place. Although it's an historic building, the rooms are large and upscale by modern standards and the inn is maintained so well that it is always spotless clean and looks as if it were new. It is an easy walk to anywhere on the heart of the campus or to the downtown shops. Also, the inn has a free shuttle that will take you almost anywhere in town or campus and pick you up when you want to return. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a tad expensive but definitely worth it.

Finally decided to spend the extra money to stay at the NLI for graduation weekend. The hotel did not disappoint. Room was clean, the employees were all polite and cheerful on what was obviously a busy weekend. It was great to be able to walk to just about everything from the hotel. Can't beat the location. Had lunch a nice Whisker's, not too much of a menu, but it hit the spot. « less

My husband's fraternity had a 50 year reunion this past weekend. From the moment we entered this beloved inn until we left, we were treated like royalty. The inn is so lovely and decorated in the beautiful blues and whites of Penn State. The lobby is extremely large and comfortable. The rooms were delightful and with fabulous amenities including a Keurig and upscale toiletries. The food at the inn as well as the service was excellent. My husband was suffering horribly with a crippling back problem. He could not sleep in a bed. Late at night, the inn found a vacant room with a lounge chair. They sent someone to move everything. When we checked out, they promptly sent someone to gather our things and place them in our car. I am on a restricted diet and they were very accommodating. What a fabulous experience!!!!! « less

"Just wanted you to know that your site is the greatest. If I hadn't stumbled onto your web site I would not have been able to make as good a deal (which may have resulted in our having to cancel this trip to arrange for something more local). Thank you and your group so much!!! I will keep this web site handy for future use and also tell everyone about it." A.L. - Hershey, PA
