The complimentary afternoon snack & drinks as well as the complimentary breakfast make this a great place to stay. Rooms are a bit small but up-to-date and clean. The staff was very attentive to every detail when it came to explaining the parking, the pool hours & the times for the free food. We even had a personal message on our phone that said should be need anything else, please call. Now that is service. We'll definately be back to stay at this Drury. « less

We have stayed at this Drury Inn several times and have always been pleased with our visits. We were there last weekend from Friday thru Monday for the NASCAR races. On the way home Monday afternoon, I noticed that I had left my favorite sleeping pillow in our room. Called and they assured me that it would be taken care of....and it was. Today is Thursday and I already have it !! We had a complaint on Friday about other guests (girls Volleyball teams) running up and down the halls even after my husband asked them to quit (when we saw the parents/sponsors sitting downstairs drinking we knew that they were not being watched). The desk assured us they would take care of it and there were no more problems. We always appreciate it when any business takes our problems/complaints and makes an effort to fix them. We in turn, return to these businesses that try. The rooms are always clean, the staff VERY friendly and the food and beverages very good too. We're already booked for the fall and will happily book any future K.C. trips there too. « less

I spent the first couple of nights down the street in the allegedly #1 ranked hotel for Overland Park, the Extended Stay. Our room there was in such neglected shape, and I was so disappointed that we checked out and luckily booked a room at the Drury. Just walking into the lobby told me I was in for a better experience, even though a hotel lobby usually doesn't sway me much. The furnishings, flooring, everything was quality, and sparkling clean.
The ample dining area was logically set up with several spots to get your food to minimize any waiting and/or congestion. The amount of food this place gives you really makes it a value play in my book. Breakfast had hot and cold items, plenty to get you going. Unless I was starving, the evening "snack" was enough to fill me up (certainly enough for kids). A complimentary beer or wine to go with it is a great bonus too. The food isn't gourmet. But like I said, for the price, staying here was a great deal. They have a fridge in the room and a microwave for your leftovers from all the great restaurants that are within a short drive.
The room was just like the pictures. Everything was in fine condition and spotless. The bed had lots of pillows, some softer, some harder. The only thing that was a negative for me is that the hotel is right by the freeway, so it is noisy. Several of the other hotels near there have the same issue though. I turned on the fan to drown out the traffic noise. Or, there are earplugs, which I always bring with me just in case. We were there during the week, so I can't speak to what it's like on the weekend.
They have an attached, gated parking ramp which was very handy, especially in nasty weather, which we had while we were there. This location was also right next to a very nice fitness club. Guess what? Drury guests get day passes. They have about any machine you could want, a pool, several tennis courts, and various classes. Most of the classes and all of the machines were free. What a nice bonus there.
The hotel itself has an indoor/outdoor pool and a small exercise room, so you don't have to leave the premises if you don't want to. The service we experienced left nothing wanting either. We were so impressed with their whole "package" that we considered signing up for their rewards program. The only thing that stopped us is that we rarely travel to the areas where Drury has their hotels, which is definitely a bummer for us. « less

We stayed on a Saturday over Easter weekend. Family of 4, with previous stays at this property over the past 6 years. This is an excellent Drury hotel, even as it ages, the service makes up for some minor issues related to wear and tear. The maintenance chief named Craig deserves huge kudos for his professional and honest approach to his job. He repaired a few things in our two room suite and when he could not fix one of them he talked to the desk manager and they adjusted our rate. Again, very positive and very professional. The nightly snacks and morning breakfast were on par with what we expected and the usual polite staff makes it all worthwhile. Drury hotels should be proud of the Overland Park, KS location and their staff. « less
