This was my second time at this location. Spent four nights here while traveling in SE Missouri. The service here is outstanding, the room very clean and comfortable, great location and the morning breakfast and nightly "kick back" puts the icing on the cake with a good variety of tasty selections. If in the area, I would not consider staying anywhere else. Thanks to Gina, Donna and Brittany...they are so friendly and really make you feel welcome. « less
“Worth a night's stay if you're on the road . . . or more, if you're visiting Cape Girardeau”

This was my first visit to the Drury Inn at Jackson -- on my way back north after visiting the Tunica casinos. I stayed several nights over a weekend because I wanted to try the new Isle casino in Cape Girardeau.
The room was spacious (and clean) with flat screen TV (decent cable) and a microwave and fridge. Seating options (including an easy chair that was a little rump-sprung) were good, as were the lighting and room temperature.
The breakfast was substantial (and regularly replenished), and the hospitality hour (and a half) every evening offers some "real" food in addition to beverages and snacks. A Pizza Inn, and a Dairy Queen, are adjacent to the hotel parking lot.
I found the $80+/night rate (including tax and AAA discount) a little on the high side for a solo traveler -- but, it was a weekend . . . and the complimentary food does make it possible to get by with just buying a lunch every day. So, all in all, not ridiculously expensive.
This Drury Inn DOES have an elevator (which is not really clear from its website information) -- but, bringing luggage in on the carts from the lobby can be a tricky proposition: since you have to navigate the cart through two single-width doors that have no automatic openers (or door stops) . . . a pain if you're traveling alone.
I would certainly stay again -- particularly since Cape Girardeau seems to have some shopping/dining/night life options to offer, and it's only a quick 10 minute drive to Cape down the Interstate. « less

First this is conviently located at highway exit, but not near all the restaurants and stores located at Cape locations. This appears to be an older location not as nice as the newer ones. I have stayed at the sikeston Drury a few exits down and it is much nicer than this one. I saw a nearby sign at next exit which said new location coming so I assume this may be replaced. The rooms and common areas seem to be dated a out 20 years ago. The staff did a great job very helpful and friendly. « less

Management response from Drury Hotels, General Manager
We appreciate hearing from our guests and thank you for the feedback on your recent stay. Also, thank you for the kind comments on the friendliness of our staff. Our hotel is in an unique small town setting. We do have some family owned restaurants in the downtown area of Jackson and a beautiful park area.
We are scheduled for a full renovation in the fall of 2014, and I hope you will give us another opportunity to serve your lodging needs. Thank you!

We recently took a road trip through the mid-south, and the Drury Inn & Suites in Jackson, MO was our stop for the first night. As always, the food and drinks in the evening were very much appreciated after a long day on the road. There's a Dairy Queen conveniently located across the entrance road, so that's where we went for dessert. Breakfast the next morning was in keeping with Drury's high standards. As others have noted, the Drury chain costs a little more but the food more than makes up for it. A full hot breakfast is always a nicer start to the day than the typical continental breakfast served at most other chains.
The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. We had some exhaust system problems and asked if they could recommend a shop for repairs. Their suggestion was spot on and we were able to quickly resume our journey the next morning.
The only thing stopping me from giving an excellent mark is that the room was quite small and cramped, what with all the furniture jammed into it. We had a king room but it really shouldn't have had more than a queen bed. The recliner was in such a tight spot that the footrest couldn't be extended without moving it to a spot that blocked access to one side of the bed. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable - just cramped. « less

We stay at a lot of Drury Inns and this one is at the top of our list. It has a warm German feel inside and out but the same familiar Drury constants we look forward too. Won't bore with the same ol' same ol' but there are a few little touches at this hotel that really stood out for me and I am sure others will appreciate as well. Our room was a smoking room and you wouldn't even know it. Smelled fresh and clean and as a smoker I really liked that there were not one or two but three ashtrays in our suite. Our suite had a large living room that had a real couch and recliner. Something nice enough to have in a home. (still hotel floral and stripes) but very comfortable and you didn't get that cardboard crunch like most hotel couches. There was a trash can around everytime I needed it. Thats a pet peeve of mine when there is only trash can in a suite. And my favorite thing was that the bottom of the window titled in for fresh air. The staff were friendly and attentive and did make me feel special. There is another Drury in Cape Girardeau about 25 miles away and I would highly recommend this Drury in Jackson over that if you are visiting the area. Its worth the extra drive. If you like antiqueing Cape is only a short drive and there are about 7 or 8 shops within a few miles of each other. (not all are listed online so ask the clerks where the others are and they will gladly tell you.) « less

"This is an awesome site and very helpful in my search for a hotel for my dad's military reunion. Thank you!" S.B. - Pontiac, MI
"Our group has done this weekend away for 10+ years always in the Napa/Sonoma area in the Spring. For the past 3 years we have stayed at the same location in Sonoma. This year I used your site to try to find a different and more reasonably priced location. Not only did I find a fantastic hotel in a great new location, I save $100 per night over last year's room fee." J.F. - San Francisco, CA
