Every hotel was sold out for 50 miles during MAQS Quilt Show and we made this last minutes reservation for one night. We never stayed in a Drurys Inn before and even with all 118 rooms sold out our hotel room was extremely quit and this hotel is completely spotless and I mean even in the corners of our room,bath , halls , lobby . Our room had a new flat screen tv , frig , micro , and wall thermostat for heat and air that worked great . The shower had a 5 inch head and the water was perfact . The king bed was perfact . And get this --- long distance calls were free . Because of 30,000 people in town for the show the AARP card and AAA card was worthless. We were not expecting free eats and drinks and they even had a happy hour with mix drinks . We were treated so nice by the management like we were VIP . It was a very pleasent stay and wish it could of ben longer . The y-fy worked fast and just turn on your computer and the internet was there. « less

The hotel is pretty much a standard good quality American hotel with all the facilities (sans restaurant) you'd expect. Nothing really outstanding, except the staff. I'm here at an extremely busy time of year when people are begging for accommodation. A huge national quilt show is taking place and the town is bulging with people. There have been some snags in the transportation system and it looked today like I'd not be able to get to my class (I am the teacher!) in time. Taxi's were so busy, there was more than an hour wait to get a ten minute ride. The desk clerk , getting off night shift, offered to take me to the convention center. This after having to deal with a dead battery and a full night's work! Another snag was addressed by the woman on duty when I checked in Monday night. There was no record of my reservation, which was made by the people who hired me, but despite the shortage of hotel rooms, she found me a room for the night. And WiFi is free, which I always like. « less

After driving for 15 hours on our way home from FL, we stopped at a Drury Inn in Paducah, KY. This hotel was absolutely outstanding. When choosing hotels to stay in I expect the usual "cookie cutter" accomodations. The Drury anticipates everything that one would want or need while traveling and provides it. The best is that the property is immaculate and the staff is outstanding. When we arrived we were tired and were not looking forward to getting back in to the car to find a place to eat, even thought there were many restaurants nearby to choose from. We were greeted by the front desk and invited to enjoy the "5:30 Kickback" prior to getting our bags from our car because we had arrived 10 minutes prior to closing. This hot buffet included meatballs and penne pasta, baked potatoes, hotdogs, broccoli cheddar soup and nachos & cheese. More than we needed and not having to go out again to eat was a bonus. In addition, they offered beer & wine for 53 cents per glass. Our category room had been overbooked so we were given a king suite. The room was outstanding. Immaculate, well decorated, large flat screened tv's in each of the two rooms, microwave and refrigerator (discreetly tucked away), I can't imagine that there would be something that anyone would need that would be missing. Breakfast service began at 6:00 a.m., which was appreciated as we wanted to get on the road. I was again impressed with the quality and quantiy of this offering. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, ham and cheese, waffles, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, juices, milk, and I am sure I am leaving something out. I guess the point is when you choose a Drury property, everything you need is taken care of. This is a first class establishment and the hospitality was greatly appreciated! We will go out of our way if necessary, in future travels, to stay at the Drury. « less
