My company gives us "fitness money" every year to do various healthy things with. This year, I chose to get a membership at the Holiday Inn Express Pool and Fitness facility. Over the year, the area and pool have gotten dirtier and dirtier. I would be on the treadmill and watch the maintenance people just clean the glass windows and replace towels. The pool deck and locker room have gobs of hair and dirt from peoples shoes. I have seen bugs in the locker rooms and yesterday the pool was so cloudy that I left. I really wanted to renew my membership but don't think I will this year. « less

I am so, so sorry to hear about your experience with our fitness and pool area. I am extremely surprised to hear this through Trip Advisor, as I very rarely get any complaints directly to my office or otherwise. I would really like to speak with you to get more details on when you were here, time of day, and make sure you are actually referencing the correct property. Our staff cleans both areas three times per day sometimes more based on occupancy levels, but never less (once just before opening, another time at 12:30pm and the third time in the evening). At 12:30 the entire team of housekeepers, including our Executive Housekeeper, thoroughly sweeps, cleans and disinfects surfaces, showers, floors, windows, etc. In the evening, the areas may be cleaned several times as my staff doesn't think it's polite to just start cleaning around our guests that may be using our equipment, so they'll come back so not to be a bother. Personally, I would appreciate that I am not bothered by some cleaning person during my workout. We all have certain preferences, but I am so very sorry that you do not feel our pool & fitness center is a clean environment. As for the pool water, I can assure you, it is not unsafe or dirty. The water is checked and tested properly by our Certified Pool Operator several times per day. Again, I'd love to hear more from you. Please feel free to give me a call anytime at 802-885-4516. Stayed 4/10 and 4/11 using reward nights. Hotel is conveniently located just off I-91 with ample parking. Check in was quick and cordial. We ended up in a king suite with whirlpool. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The whirlpool was large and relaxing, The room had a comfortable bed and pillows as well as a large flat screen TV and plenty of work space and power outlets. Breakfast in the hotel lobby consisted of eggs, sausage, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, cereal and breads with juice and coffee. The dining area is large enough to accommodate the flow of traffic with nice furniture and a big screen TV. We really liked and can enthusiastically recommend this hotel. « less

I stayed here for two nights in March 2013 to go skiing and I was very happy with everything. It's close to several ski areas and is easily accessible from the highway. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. Our check-in was smooth and the room was wonderful. It included a fridge and microwave which we used during our whole stay. The game room was fun and had a pool table which was a nice addition. The swimming pool looked very nice and was quite big, but I never went swimming. The continental breakfast was excellent - they had pancakes, biscuits/gravy, bacon, omelets, pastries , coffee /tea , cereal, fruit and more - an excellent start to the day. There was plenty of well-lit parking and the whole area was very safe. I would stay here again without question! « less

I booked a two night stay at this hotel in early March and had a fantastic time. We chose to book this hotel due to its close proximity to Okemo and to the highway. It was an easy 3 hour drive from Boston and about 20 minutes to the ski resort. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the continental breakfast each morning, though fresh fruit would be a wonderful addition. Our room was very spacious with sloped ceilings that gave it a cozy feel, We had a large jacuzzi tub in the room which was amazing after a long day of skiing. Our room also came equpped with a large TV, microwave and mini-fridge. The room was clean and well decorated, a great find for any visitor to the local ski resorts. I highly recommend this hotel and will certainly be back! « less

My girlfriend and I decided to book a 3 night stay here and were pleased with everything it had to offer. We were drawn to this location because of it's close proximity to several ski areas. More than 6 resorts within a one hour scenic drive. We were welcomed by a very friendly and informative front desk associate. Our room was far beyond expectations. It was much nicer than any other Holiday Inn I have stayed at. Our suite had a large comfortable king size bed, large HD TV, microwave, fridge...and a Jacuzzi in the room! Nothing better than a soaking and jet massage after a tough day on the slopes. The continental breakfast was our first stop every morning and had several options. Fresh fruit would be a nice addition. Local restaurants were surprisingly delicious, we recommend Black-Rock Steakhouse and Oriental Palace. If your planning on visiting Okemo, Stratton, Bromley, Mt.Snow, Sunapee or any other nearby mountain, consider this hotel, it's a steal compared to the resort towns. I've stayed in more hotels than I can remember and this hotel near the top of the list! We will be back without a doubt. « less
