I was surprised when we got there that it was a old style hotel but the rooms, service and breakfast was top notch. We stayed here for the ASABFA High School Fishing Tourney and the location was great with everything very handy. « less

This hotel met all of the criteria for "Best bet for the money". 1. Under $100, check. 2. Minifridge in the room, check. 3. Continental breakfast, delicious. 4. rooms were clean and staff very friendly. 5 and most important FREE WIFI. Only downside is location is difficult to get to from one direction only. I'm sick and tired of all these ritzy hotels charging out the wazoo and not giving you these basics that I've just listed. Just got done staying at the Galt House in Louisville, discounted rate of $150/night, had to pay for wifi, since they had a restaurant they charge for that as well, pay for parking. This Best Western is definitely on my "to stay at list" from here on. « less

Loacation is not right near anything, but Tuscaloosa is not a big place so its easy to get anywhere in town. There is a shopping center with a good supermarket and a bank right across the street. « less

An excellent example of the chain. Not the utmost in luxury (reason for 4 out of 5 above), but still top of the line. Better than the last non-top of line hotel I stayed in, which was also in the area.

The front desk management and staff are brimming with hospitality making every effort to make any stay enjoyable! The rooms are well appointed, very clean, and always ready on time. No request is denied. Breakfast is prompt with choices for any preference. The accessiblity to the University of Alabama is efficient, easy, and away from much of the expected traffic congestion for campus events. Discover the Best Western Catalina Inn, Northport, AL.
